Had myself a cool orange muscle car while gunning down the evils of the night.
so good .
This game is exactly like the Desura version except instead of my 360 controller working, it doesn't. I definitely reccomend buying this game on Desura if you don't care about trading cards and you don't want to not be able to play the game with the input configurations it was designed to be used with. If you'd like to select the gamepad in options and have it actually do anything, go ahead and not buy the Steam version of this game. Oh, and as far as the actual game? Well, Drive to Hell is like, REALLY good shovelware. It is not a must play by any means, but they do a couple things right, where few other twinstick shooters do, such as using aim lock so you don't have have your right stick cranked down at all times. I would not be surprised to learn this game is an iPhone conversion. If you're lookeing for the best twinstick shooter on Steam, get Assault Android Cactus. Then get Scoregasm and Geometry Wars 3. If you play enough of these games that you're rounding out your catalog and you're okay with picking up something fun but average, definitely check out Drive to Hell. Just don't buy it here until they fix it. If they do, my review will be updated and I will fully recommend this game.
in this game all you do is drive to africa....i think this is pretty racist
Graphics and audio so so. Gameplay boring. Enemies boring (always attacking the same way) Weapons boring. Levels boring. Not worth it.
Hot damn! Drive to Hell is a down to earth blast. Controls are intuitive, the gameplay has a rhythm to it, that let's you directly dive into it. Although it's a scrolling shooter, it is no bullet hell. The game presents you a challenge on the different difficulties, without just increasing the bullet count on screen. The soundtrack let's you forget the time, as you bracing yourself for just one more go. When you die, your score is reset, but you will always be able to continue where you left off, also having the chance to switch vehicles and difficulty. The level design is quiet polished and balanced. I never got the feeling the game was unfair or punishing. You always see, where all went wrong. Like not having been aware of your surroundings, or trying to hard to get that one powerup. Drive to Hell was an instant surpirse. I just booted it up, not even exactly knowing what to expect and have been playing it for hours now. If you have already played with the thought of getting it, or having it resting in your backlog, give it a spin. You are also able to get a good impression of the game in under two hours, so you might refund it, if it isn't actually your cup of tea. See you in Hell! 8)
Twin-stick shooter Drive to Hell is great at being good. It doesn’t do anything wrong, but it doesn’t do something special either. It’s enjoyable, and has a charming (albeit amateurish), 16-bit-era look, but one can easily find something much better, and with a higher replay value, with just a few more coins.
