pros:

technically it is superior to most games: procedural generation of very large world and minimal saves
outpost-oriented factory production and automation: no wires, no belts ;p - resources are RTS-like available internally
very fun for multiplayer/co-op!
modern and appealing graphics, even for a ~10 years old game!
GUI is very intuitive, rebinding keys (which is always shown) is "right there" - right-click on action icon instead of menus with lots of text
this game is free and cross-platform! :) go play now!
cons:

learning curve is steep: tutorial is okay, but there is no in-game guide how to build a base properly, which resources you need first, etc...
no built-in wiki or "factory-pedia" to quickly check whether you need-this-NOW-or-not?
build-mode: tied to player (vehicle) - *any* RTS is way easier with spectator-mode
build-mode: lacks planning, blueprints, or w/e you call it...
map: not that usable and zoomable as, for example, in Factorio
map: missing auto-marking of resources you find
"search" feature could have been in more places and see some more love
inventory: no auto-sort and should have seen more love, too
route management between outposts is hell, but has it's own racing mini-game to improve capacity
unpopular, underrated and abandoned because of that (why not to open-source it then?) - that's sad :(
i recommend!

Vehicle controls are like molasses. Combat is a joke. Nothing to do.
pretty clunky. shotty mechanics. over all kind of boring.
Even free this game is a physics hell. Farming is very difficult and the tutorial is shallow and confusing.
Great game, what a shame it died
I enjoyed playing Sightseer. The start was diifficult as my vehicle had very poor performance and i was getting stuck on every pebbles on the road but as soon i got a couples upgrades, things were much more fun. Also the the biome i had chosen was not the easyest..Just pay attention to the description when starting a new game.
ok
9 of of 10 game, because the createor doesnt finished the game.
