Formerly known as Jedi Trainer, in Prodigy Trainer we'll take the role of a powerful Dark Lord, who even destroyed a planet with his powers, but who also goes around in a T-Shirt and trousers, who is asked by Asmodea Hollow, an ambitious former Warrior banished from the Order and the System by Lerai for having attempted to use the forbidden powers of darkness, to properly train her in the ways of the Darkside.
It's a quite atypical sandbox corruption game, with a simple, if not simplistic, and rather short story, but artificially lengthened by the grinding ([spoiler]even if you know the code to win the lottery, which is: [spoiler]INDIANATK[/spoiler][/spoiler]), and a slow burn development which either unfortunately leads practically nowhere.
The models are generally well made, even if sometimes the quality noticeably drops, while the animations, and the very few scenes in general, although short and silent, tend to be rather good.
The soundtrack, for its part, is quite pleasant and creates a beautiful atmosphere.
The title does not have a scenes gallery, although these can still be repeated directly in game, also, the layout of the loading and saving pages are a bit strange for a recent game developed in Ren'py, moreover, the Steam Cloud saves functionality is also missing.
Furthermore, even if I usually don't notice them, I ignore them or I don't pay too much attention to them, precisely because it's not my native language, this time I really have to say that the English used is often full of blunders.
Premise, setting and models are the strong point of the game, but, unfortunately, there isn't much else to save, which is a great shame, because the title almost seems to waste itself a bit like this, offering a gaming experience that tends to be completely unsatisfying, including the hot scenes, so it is unfortunately not possible to recommend it, at least not at full price.
[spoiler]Personal note: although she's not the only one, Asmodea Hollow is the only girl to be sufficiently present and developed to be nominated for the best girl title here.[/spoiler]

Precedentemente note come Jedi Trainer, in Prodigy Trainer vestiremo i panni di un potente Signore Oscuro, che ha addirittura distrutto un pianeta con i suoi poteri, ma che va in giro in maglietta e pantaloni, a cui viene chiesto da Asmodea Hollow, un ambiziosa ex Warrior bandita dall'Ordine e dal Sistema da Lerai per aver tentato di utilizzare i poteri proibiti dell'oscurità, di essere addestrata adeguatamente nelle vie del Lato Oscuro.
È una vidual novel di corruzione in stile sandbox piuttosto atipica, con una storia semplice, se non semplicistica, e piuttosto breve, ma allungata artificialmente dal grinding ([spoiler]persino se si conosce il codice per vincere alla lotteria, che è: [spoiler]INDIANATK[/spoiler][/spoiler]), e dallo sviluppo lento che purtroppo non porta praticamente da nessuna parte.
I modelli sono generalmente ben realizzati, anche se a volte la qualità cala sensibilmente, mentre le animazioni, e le pochissime scene in generale, seppur brevi e silenziose, tendono ad essere piuttosto buone.
La colonna sonora, dal canto suo, è piuttosto gradevole e crea una bella atmosfera.
Il titolo non presenta una galleria delle scene, anche se queste sono comunque ripetibili direttamente in gioco, mentre il layout delle pagine di caricamento e salvataggio sono un po' strane per essere un gioco comunque recente e sviluppato in Ren'py, in più, anche la funzione di salvataggio su Steam Cloud non è disponibile.
Inoltre, anche se di solito non li noto, ci soprassiedo o non ci faccio troppo caso, proprio perché non è mia lingua madre, questa volta devo davvero dire che l'inglese usato è spesso pieno di strafalcioni.
Premessa, ambientazione e modelli sono il punto forte del gioco, ma, purtroppo, non c'è molto altro da salvare, il che è un gran peccato, perché il titolo pare quasi sprecarsi un po' così, offrendo un'esperienza di gioco che tende ad essere del tutto insoddisfacente, scene piccanti comprese, pertanto non è purtroppo possibile consigliarlo, almeno non a prezzo pieno.
[spoiler]Nota personale: pur non essendo l'unica, Asmodea Hollow è la sola ragazza ad essere sufficientemente presente e sviluppata per essere candidata al titolo di best girl qui.[/spoiler]
