Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
Tough call. I almost voted thumbs down. However, I think there's enough here that I can give this a sideways / neutral recommendation. First of all, the wave shooting part of this game is bad. If that's all the game had to offer, I would have definitely given it a thumbs down. It's just not a good wave shooter. It's poorly made & designed. Hit boxes are all over the place. Sometimes I would shoot the target point blank and no damage was shown. I don't know if it was lag or just horrible hit boxes. Either way, several times you won't hit the target even with perfect aim. Plus it's just dinos spawning out of anywhere and just running straight towards you. The only real difference is that some have more HP / are bullet sponges. On the plus side, the dinosaur explore mode was passable. The dinosaurs and some of the animations look nice. The map looks nice for the budget price. I would like to see a lot more dinosaurs. Also, the Pterodactyl flying ride was pretty cool. That was the best part of the game. However, it's just a loop around the map. It's completely on-rails. I would have like to seen different routes or some control in flying. You definitely need more maps to fly around as well. For $3, it's a close call but I'll give it a sideways. Honestly, I don't really recommend it but you could spend $3 in VR in worse ways. It took me about 20 minutes to experience everything the game has to offer. Rate 5/10. I'm not sure if it was worth the $3 release sale price, but I definitely wouldn't have paid more than that.
I bought this game!
