Prison Ball: Full Blown is a bizarre and needless hybrid/ripoff of Pong and Breakout/Arkanoid, riddled with irrelevant sexual innuendo and prison sex jokes. Game modes are locked behind DLC, it's weird to see such extensive monetisation on a game worse than a browser/Flash game, but certainly the ludicrous cash grab pricing has acted as a deterrent. Gameplay (without DLC) is limited to player/CPU vs player/CPU Pong matches with Breakout style blocks in the middle. There's a plethora of other tweaks and gimmicks that work against the game, making it convoluted for no appreciable benefit. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. SteamDB shows the game failed to garner any notable interest from gamers, typically there's nobody playing the game on any given month (I was the first person to launch the game on Steam for several weeks). The technical deficiencies are the most likely cause of this broad rejection from the 12 million gamers on Steam. Given the shovelware nature of the game the pricing is particularly notable and indicates a clear attempt at a cash grab, with a ridiculous $4 USD price tag for a ripoff of Atari's copyrighted 1976 "Breakout". But there's more! Much of the game is paywalled behind more greedy DLC, with another ridiculous $10 ask there... that's right, $14 USD for a crap Pong ripoff that's worse than playing free versions in your web browser. Obviously this is impossible to recommend for gamers. $14, by the way, would get you Skyrim, Frostpunk or any other number of AAA titles on sale. Why would anyone buy this? It's worth noting the only review from a Steam purchaser has only written two reviews, both for (and gushing over) the same developer. That's suspicious but I don't believe this is deliberate review manipulation, however, positive reviews for this game should be taken with a grain of salt, especially given the factually proven failure of the game in the court of public opinion, as demonstrated by SteamDB.
Online Stalking and Harrassment
The developer has started stalking me, delivering personal attacks and is attempting to publicly cyberbully and intimidate me by posting hitpiece videos and articles. Why? Because I wrote an honest and frank assessment about an objectively bad and failed product. It's an objective failure rejected by gamers, confirmed by SteamDB figures for the failed game, and for the other reasons I supplied in my accurate review. Certainly, the hitpieces the stalker/developer here has linked up are false and misleading (for example, I've given positive reviews to 2D indie games in the past, but the "developer" here chooses to lie about that), but cyberbullies don't care about facts, they just want to intimidate and attack those for providing the truths the developer can't emotionally accept. This unhinged, unstable and harmful behavior from the developer is utterly unacceptable, and is a chilling attempt to silence the truth. Now, you can look at the objective facts of my review, and then have a look at how this reviewer is attacking and intimidating reviewers, and suddenly the overwhelming rejection of these crappy GameMaker Studio ripoffs makes perfect sense. I will not be intimidated or silenced by stalkers and bullies.
Multiplayer breakout with a slightly adult twist. Despite a terrible looking menu, the gameplay is not bad. I would love to see a few more customization options and other attacks in addition to the "Blow" attack. https://youtu.be/NbA8oQ-5MLM
THIS GAME IS CUTE AND SASSY ALL IN ONE. TOTALLY WORTH THE BUY! YOU WILL BE ADDICTED QUICK
Simple yet fun game With a GREAT (humorous) Ability to BLOW your opponent.
I like it
Примитивный арканоид на двоих, с ботом или вдвоём за одним компьютером. Задача набрать больше очков-уничтожить блоков, чем противник. Скучновато, обещанного веселья нету... great fun with this game
I thought I reviewed this under my account as well as the curator for Meg & Egg. Apparently not. Please take into consideration that I watch Zaxtor99's YouTube content and have talked to him on occasion, so there's going to be at least a slight degree of bias. #17 out of 200 for the random Steam games I reviewed in 2021. I'd argue many of the games from 40-17 are objectively better, but the value of this game as well as lack of bugs propels it a bit higher. The entire top 20 is here: https://auncollective.medium.com/reviewing-200-random-steam-buy-to-play-games-part-xi-the-top-20-4af3a7552c35 . Upon further review, I'm baffled why I ordered some of the games the way I did, but I'd assume it's due to weighting value fairly high.
decent game i got it for free
