Press Lex to Metaverx is a sequel to From Lex to Rex and is a bit longer pixel-art point and click game. This time the game has natural progression and save slots. A welcome change from the first game which had only a chapter selection menu. The story starts three days after the first game ended with Lex trying to start a Truffle Shop, but yet again becomes convoluted as traveling into memories and Lexes from all around the multiverse (the titular Metaverx) start to play a part. The puzzles are on the harder side, but the game mostly retains the one screen at a time playstyle from the previous title so that mitgates it a bit. The most being 3 screens accesible at any one time. There is a dev-made guide for all would-be achievement hunters available and 100% the game takes about 4.7h. There is also a complete walkthrough avaialbles for those that get stuck.

Salto cuántico en las aventuras de Lex y del desarrollador. De nuevo, una historia muy bien hilada con golpes de comedia y menciones retorcidas de cultura popular. Para jugadores conscientes que valoren el trabajo bien hecho.

Maravillosa continuación de From Lex to Rex!! (Si no lo habéis jugado, es altamente recomendable que lo hagáis, ya que es una continuación directa y tiene muchas referencias a la primera parte). Sigue manteniendo la esencia del pixel art que a tantos nos gusta, muchos guiños a la cultura popular (es una diversión añadida intentar encontrarlos), y un sentido del humor que en más de una ocasión os hará soltar una carcajada :D Esta segunda parte evoluciona en cuanto a su trama (sin entrar en detalles, pero con el título de Metaverx ya os podéis hacer una idea), me ha enganchado de tal manera que me lo he terminado en dos sentadas de varias horas, me maravilla la capacidad de crear conflictos argumentales y resolverlos de su creador, así que mi más sincera enhorabuena <3 Los puzzles, como en cualquier buena aventura gráfica tienen un nivel de dificultad medio-alto, ha habido unos cuantos que me han hecho repasar el escenario varias veces hasta dar con el quid de la cuestión, pero en mi opinión eso es un punto a favor, vengo de jugar unos cuantos juegos en los que te lo dan todo tan mascado que parece que tratan al jugador de tonto. Se agradece mucho que de vez en cuando un desarrollador nos plantee retos estimulantes! (el gustazo que es cuando lo resuelves!). En definitiva, si disfrutas de las buenas historias, de la ciencia ficción, y te apetece un juego divertido con puzzles interesantes, sin ninguna duda Press Lex to Metaverx te va a encantar! 100% recomendado!!! Mi enhorabuena al creador!

Pros - Wonderful art-style, very nostalgic - Mostly fully playable with mouse, you do need the keyboard to save and exit the game. - The dialog was well written. - The story was interesting. - Developer seems very active and passionate about the game. Cons - The puzzle design didn't quite click with me. Lots of times trying everything with everything. Sometimes even when a combination worked I was confused about what exactly I just did. There were also times where previously attempted combinations that failed all of sudden work and I didn't understand what had changed. - No hot-spot reveal tool (as far as I'm aware) In conclusion while it was frustrating at times I still did enjoy it overall. Recommended.

Another charming love letter from the talented Montolio to LucasArts' classic point&click games, Press Lex to Metaverx takes what made the original so enjoyable and brings several new dimensions to the table (literally). Traverse the broken multiverse in an attempt to patch up the mess you so unwittingly created, meet characters old and new, and discover what it really means to be a Lex proper. Fantastic entry with tons of talent and love behind it as well as a new game looming on the horizon, this one is packing too much quality not to pick up [spoiler] especially on sale [/spoiler].

If you didn't play the first game, don't play this. I was gifted this game, and despite the description claiming that it can be played independently, Press Lex to Metaverx is full of throwbacks, returning characters with almost no introduction, and "remember when" moments. I swear there were a couple of times where I had to know what Lex did in the first game to solve a puzzle. Add to this the abundant spelling errors in the dialogue, weird syntax, graphical glitches and nonsensical puzzles [spoiler] garlic as glue, and soap on a desktop turns to amber? Okay... [/spoiler]. I was eager for the game to end, and the experience leaves me with absolutely zero interest in playing the preceding game or the sequel.

A falta de acabarme este juegazo, lo que llevo me está encantando. Secuela de "From Lex to Rex", que ya me gustó mucho cuando lo jugué. Tanto este como el juego anterior, parecen hechos por y para los que amamos las aventuras gráficas de LucasArts de los 90. Mientras juegas es inevitable que no te vengan a la cabeza los dos primeros juegos de Monkey Island, motivo por el que compré estos dos juegos de Lex, y no sólo visualmente, sino en el sentido del humor, referencias, jugabilidad... En esta secuela la trama se va volviendo más loca a cada momento. Muy disfrutable.

Muy buen juego, nostalgia de los point and click de los 90s, referencias a la cultura pop por doquier y un toque personal de autor. Muy entretenido y recomendable. Requiere rejugabilidad para sacar logros y exprimirlo al máximo.
