this game made me pregnant with an eldritch abomination 10/10 would play again
I wasn't sure what to expect when booting up this game—but sure as sh*t wasn't a game that was more a walking simulator than a horror game. That being said, the premise of the game sounds promising. I always feel badly writing up a negative review, because I know dev(s) put blood, sweat, and tears into their work—but I cannot recommend this game. —Expect to see screen tearing with no means to correct it. —You cannot run. (read: walking simulator) —If you run out of time, expect to be magically transported to wherever this dude is to check out his shoes—which aren't even designer. —Don't expect to be able to use the Esc key to back out of looking at/interacting with items, there is a different designated key for that, so expect to pause the game every time you mean to put something back/down. —Sound design is not optimized; expect to struggle to hear anything, only to have your eardums destroyed in 5 minutes. Overall, 4/10. Maybe I'll come back to this after patches or something. But rn, it's not for me.

Pregnant, like all good pieces of horror fiction, relies on the unnerving and confusing nature of feeling like you are lost. Things aren't how they should be, pregnant capitalizes on this fundamental horror aspect perfectly, by having me not know what the hell is happening the entire time I was playing. The controls are wonky, leaving you feeling like you are truly disoriented. The bare bones mechanics and simple gameplay truly let you get immersed in the feeling of complete helplessness, as the jumpscares freeze your game, forcing you to restart. One of horrors greatest achievements.
was more a walking simulator than a horror game. still have no idea what the feck was going on. ✔ Graphics (as shown) ✗ Story and character development ✗ Replay Value ✗ Background music
