I like the idea of a retro shooter having a Metroidvania-style progression to it, that made the game more interesting. Having to backtrack to access new places after unlocking a new ability. It also had couple of platforming sections which were fun. Overall a good game
The learned all the wrong lessons from Doom. Doom didn't need more keys, item progression in random levels, and an awful underwater level. Skip unless you can't get enough of this genre. If you play it, use a guide, this will take forever otherwise. Also, bomb jumps are your friend.

I played my fare share of boomer shooters, but this one i don't like. cant say i love the backtracking aspect in this type of game. It would have been better in my opinion if the game was more linear.
PowerSlave, lo ma duro del sistema, este juego marcó mi infancia, me da mucho gusto que lo remasterizaran y que agregaran nuevos niveles.

Одна из лучших метроидваний на моей памяти. На порядок лучше, чем тот убогий ДОС-шутер. Проходил её ещё на ПС1 в конце 90-х, и какое же обалденное это переиздание! Разработчики миксанули версии ПС1 и Сатурн, повысив общее количество врагов на уровнях что было не возможно сделать в оригинальных версиях. Ремастер-версия — на данный момент лучшая возможность познакомиться с этим шедевром.
DOOM / Hexen but in ancient egypt ! Really fun game, great level design, beautiful music. Worth the money if you're into 90's shooters!
