Reviews
ℹ — Instead of at least 3 Negative reviews, I'm hereby being more-than-reasonable while writing 1 review on behalf of our Steam (Event) Group I told my friends I'd give this a 5.5/10 maybe, but that was only due to the motivation I had to score big while we were battling 'friendly'. If it weren't for the event, 'alone' I probably would have stopped playing after Level 10, and I'm going to prioritize the cons: (1) — The biggest challenge is one's patience (plot twist). Having completed all 50 levels, I would more or less average out on 5 minutes per level, which is ridiculous for such game! The biggest issue is the RNG of power-ups; i.e. sometimes you'll find yourself finishing a level in 10 - 15 minutes — barely any power-ups — while other times you get a truckload of power-ups/question marks ... after which you can finish a level within a minute. However, this happened more with the harder/later levels for some reason, and progress felt very slow during the 1st half; (2) — One of my favourite Breakout-like games would be Ionball 2: Ionstorm, but where many people were complaining about the visual intensity of that one, I couldn't really complain at all, which was probably due to the dynamics of visuals; in Power Ball (1985 ...), it's like lasers were burning through my eyes, and I seriously found myself blinking severely at times, which is also due to focus! The fact that the not-so-contrasting backgrounds make your 'eyes go wild', doesn't help either; (3) — As my friend already stated, I'd also say the physics are wonky, especially concerning ball-direction adjustment, where you could oftentimes only force direction of change whilst landing the ball on either of the outer ends of the paddle, but a bit too far, and the ball goes down as in gravitational pull. On top of that, automatically applying some geometry when it comes to in-/output angles of the ball, sometimes the ball would just go in the opposite direction = unexpected behavior, and like the ball got stuck between 2 same-level horizonal-placed bricks?! (4) — Even though the internal leaderboards are fine, it states that there are Level as well as Global Steam leaderboards, but this is not true; (5) — For an ugly-looking game like this, the needed hardware resources are crazy, but the system requirements are even more ridiculous (baloney!), and apparently the developer meant to say RTX 30 Series or Greater ... Ah well, I felt like a tester of this game anyway. ⚾⚾⚾/10 — To the other club members: don't bother with this, and instead, maybe play Aquanoid — and I'm feeling nostalgic right now!
__________________________________ (English): Thanks for letting me try the game from the developer. The game remembers the classic Arkanoid of the retro classics. You can also play with a controller such as an Xbox 360 controller. The bar is controlled with the left stick and with button A you can shoot the bars and launch the ball. I looked at the keyboard controls. The bar is controlled with the arrow keys and the CTRL key is used to start the ball. Definitely worth picking up and playing the game. There are 50 levels in the game, unfortunately I didn't get that far, but world rankings are 8 at the moment. What Paul Connor still has to fix is that at Lebel 2 and the next levels the leaderboard is not displayed correctly, it shows the list of users who are currently in 1st, 2nd, 3rd place etc. You are welcome to watch the gameplay in my review video, only at level 1 I increased the speed. Level 1 would then have taken longer, but from Level 2 the speed is normal again.
you could probably find better games of this kind on newgrounds if you really tried

Good and relaxing game.
Great game with some very imaginative level design. Difficult to put down once you get in to it. Well worth the price!
Awesome game! Lots of power ups and level designs are quite original considering the already established genre.
Entertained for many hours and got 6th on the leaderboard. loved it and would definitely recommend.
This is a bat and ball game with really good level design. Some janky bounces occasionally but plenty of lives, continues and power ups to make sure it is an enjoyable experience. Highly recommended if arkanoid type games are your thing.
