About
Portobugia is a management/survival/inspection game where you manage a port and must supply a city with goods and food. To do so you must unload boats, but, be careful, some of them could be infected! You will also face difficult events, to fight them, you can upgrade, construct and research!
After the First World War, Eastern Europe has fallen into chaos... Bugs are eating all the crops, spreading diseases, and bandits are everywhere... There is no government to bring peace to the region which means cities must survive by themselves...
When a boat arrives in your port, you must inspect it before unloading or refusing it. You must verify the report by looking at the boat and comparing it to the report. If you correctly verify the report you will get some rewards. But if you don't pay attention enough attention to the infection, you will have problems with bugs that will eat some of your resources!
You start with a very basic port, but this port will not be enough to survive in this post-WWI world. You must quickly develop your infrastructure if you want to last (and the city to survive). Construct new buildings, upgrade the ones you already have, or research new technologies! You can also hire employees to increase your building’s efficiency, but they will ask for a daily income. And don't forget to send some resources to the city, otherwise your citizens will die!
You will need to be ready for all sorts of events that could happen in your port! One bad shipment could spell your doom! Prepare yourself for hard times, winter will be harsh!
You will have multiple scenarios to achieve! Each scenario has its own specificities! Their goals and difficulties are different! For example, in the Battleship scenario, you will need to construct a battleship using two resources only available in this scenario: Steel sheets and Oil. In the Winemaker scenario, you must produce top quality wine! To succeed, you must master the delicate harmony between soil, aging, grape variety, and wine style.
Boat inspections: inspect boats for any insects in them before unloading them!
Random events: you'll have to make toughs decisions to save the city!
Buildings: expand your base and unlock new ways to survive!
Upgrades: upgrade your buildings to improve their efficiency!
Employees: recruit or fire employees to manage your buildings' efficiency!
Resources management: Pay attention to your resources, the city needs daily shipments of food and goods!
Technologies: research technologies to unlock new upgrades and buildings!
Artifacts: search on ships for precious artifacts! Once collected, you can sell or inspect them! You can also open an exhibition to gain daily resources!
Scenarios: discover multiple missions with their own goals and difficulties! From the harsh lands of Siberia to a vineyard in southern France, passing through a military dockyard!
Morale: your people will go on strike if you make bad decisions! But if you lead them well, they’ll become more efficient!

It's a fun little game, a bit of lite colony management a dash of papers please, but pretty laid back. I would recommend it.
Great game, pretty much killed everyone on every play through but love the little nuances throughout each scenario
Small margin for error and very repetitive. Tried doing the first mission twice, but just before the first year, their simply are not enough ships coming and I cant deliver to the city. Poor explaining what I am doing wrong. Not going to grind my way through this.
Interesting little game. It's got light elements of several genres (puzzle, RTS, city management, mixed with colony survival) that don't feel like they should work this well when smushed together, but they just do... I 'think' I'm about halfway thru the game at 6 hours of play-time. If I get a dozen good hours of enjoyable play for 8-bucks, I'm plenty fine with that. Recommend...
Very fun and chill game. Some scenarios can be a little bit more difficult but they are all fun. Its a good game to chill and listen music to
I thought it was good
I really did think it was good at first, and then i realised what a load of repetitive nonsense it is. no vision, no real game-play, not real enjoyment. Just a bunch of pointless and weak visioned game-play. As a college project it is good, as a game to spend money on, terrible.
great fun! got it on sale and it is totally worth the money. each scenarios makes it that you need to have different approaches to reach the end. nice little gem!
Easy to get lost in the constant race to keep the town supplied
I got frustrated with a lot of the mechanics after playing the first couple of levels. The price was reasonable for the entertainment I got I guess.
This is not a very well thought through game. I didn't have a single ship during ship checking with correct data. If the data is correct or not doesn't really matter much though, you can still allow the ship or send it away without any real consequence. The checking of the ship is just to... pad time I guess? I have no idea how to get goods, and the tutorial didn't explain much. I was supposed to look for bugs, but I've seen them only once during the tutorial. The game looks nice though and it is well polished, the gameplay just doesn't make much sense.
