A 2D physics puzzle game where the main concept is shooting portals that allow teleporting (the influence is obvious but this goes to its own direction). There is possibly a potentially interesting game hidden somewhere here, but at the moment the execution makes this mostly frustrating: such a basic concept as deciding which type of portal you are shooting is missing, you always alternate between the two, and since they nevertheless require some positioning, the game becomes very annoying very quickly. And the swimming-in-jelly-physics do not exactly help. Only one level is unlocked at a time so if you get stuck, no dice. And early on I already got to a level where I pretty much figured what I am supposed to do but with this execution trying to get this done would just take grinding to hit exactly the right pixels at exactly the right moments to get further, and frankly I'm not convinced it's worth the effort.
An clever and amusing take on the portal theme. My only complaint is that it is a bit short (only a couple dozen levels) and none terribly challenging. I got it on sale, and for the price it was worth a couple hours of amusement.
8/10 ENG: Portarius is a puzzle from a russian developer, inspired by the famous game series Portal. Actually, as in the legend from Valve, there is exactly the same mechanic of portals based on physics. Some puzzles are very complex, some are quite simple. You can go through them as many times as you want to improve your score and increase your place in the leaderboard. I even managed to take the first place at the one level from the first time. Pros: - looks cool - interesting and mostly complex puzzles, but you can get the skill of passing Minuses: - it's probably the developer's plan, but still it would be better to have one mouse button to open the blue portal, the other - orange, and not just alternately because it's annoying at times - there is no plot. Well, it is some in the description, but nothing is mentioned in the game. 8/10
I was waiting for long time, after first trailer, but finally you guys manage to release it! First of all, the game is exactly like I expected, big thanks to designers, graphics look really strong, also, water levels is really fun.
Lots of fun, some levels are pretty difficult, but my favorite feature so far is the global leaderboard!
Прикольная игрушка с приятным графонием. Интересная и не напряжная головоломка.
Unplayable, broken garbage. Crashes at random points on SteamOS/Linux without warning....levels unlock in a random order...game sometimes decides you've passed the level and gives you the achievement for "minimum number of portals" despite not clicking a single time... And the physics are HORRIBLE. It's like trying to play a third-person Portal where everything including yourself is made out of jelly.
game for kids
I received a copy of this game from the developer and it was quite fun. Took me about 2.5 hours at a calm easy pace to complete it. While the game is about using portals it's very unlike the orginial Portal game. The only drawbacks is that it's lacking in story/background. Otherwise it's a fun little game. I did one of my famous #KittysIndieReviews here on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScZnDuIQOhc&feature=youtu.be
Fun; cheap; short. I'm kinda stuck on the last level, oh well.
