Pop and Chicks

[b]6/10[/b] Get all the chicks back to safety before the vultures attack! [b]What is it:[/b] A cute, but very simple pathfinding game. You're the mother hen who has to go gather all the chicks back to the barn in a limited amount of time (moves). If the counter reaches 0 and you're not yet at the barn door with all the chicks, it's game over. One other challenge is later introduced, barrels falling at a certain time, blocking your way. While that is supposed to make the game harder, I found it rather helpful because the barrel counters tell you early on which is the correct order to get the chicks, instead of almost finishing the whole level only to find out you're two moves short of reaching the barn, you know early on if one of the chicks is blocked by a barrel because you didn't get to it on time. For the positive aspects: the game is cute and visually pleasing, easy enough for young children to tackle. For the negative aspects: No undo. Fixed perspective, I was puzzled a couple of times because I did the best path to a chick yet still found myself blocked by a barrel, until I realized there is a hidden path behind a block. The chicks are not easy to spot, luckily there's an info button which brings up arrows pointing to all the chicks left on the field, which has no shortcut key and I only found after completing the game. I'm not sure if the levels have intentional red herrings, but quite a lot of times I finished the levels way before the move counter reached 0 (even 14 moves ahead!), bypassing some paths completely. Very few settings, just two volume sliders, no fullscreen off toggle (other than Alt+Enter), no progress reset. When you run out of moves, the hen just stops and looks around, there's no obvious indication that you have to restart other than the Restart icon turning red. I'm giving this a recommended, but only for children because it is a cute and easy, bug free game. [b]How hard is it:[/b] Easy to mild. The first 6 levels are just trivial go straight ahead to the barn, leaving me wondering if there's something I'm missing. [b]How long is it:[/b] 40 levels, which I finished in 20 minutes. [b]Level design:[/b] Basic, but decent. [b]Quality:[/b] Good graphics, but lacking in UI design. Basic progress achievements. No crashes. [b]Worth the price:[/b] Not if you're an adult looking for a challenging game, but maybe if you're a parent looking for a game to enjoy with young children. The game is short, and there's little replay value. [b]Most positive aspect for me:[/b] Cute look. [b]Most negative aspect for me:[/b] Too short and easy. Cumple con lo que promete por el precio tan bajo que tiene. Es uno de esos juegos que tienes que tienes que recoger diferentes pollos por una ruta en un numero de pasos determinados. De los 40 niveles que hay, alrededor del nivel 16 se complica un poco las cosas al añadir barriles que bloquean el camino tras una serie de pasos. En sí, el juego es muy simple y apenas requiere la tecnica de ensayo y error para superar un nivel. Los graficos y efectos de sonido no son agradables pero soportables debido a la cortisima duración del juego: sobre 30 minutos. Quizás me resulte un poco problematico que la camara no pueda moverse o girarse en el nivel. Hay ocasiones donde algún pollo no es visible porque está oculto por los elementos del escenario. Interesante y bastante sencillo para perder 30 minutos sueltos en tu vida.

"Pop and Chicks" is a cute minimalistic puzzle with maze elements. You are helping Pop the chicken locate her chicks that are scattered around the farm and return them to the hen house. Watch your steps, they are numbered! Also, there are some hazardous barrels along the way that will disrupt your path. 40 levels of fun and lovable chicken sounds. Who knew chicks could make such a sweet sound? ^^ Well, those chicks do! So help their mom gather them in the hen house for safety and warmth! Recommended for all audiences, including kids. 20分程度で全ステージクリア。全部で40面。ステージクリアで実績解放です。 難易度は低めで、ともすれば手数が余ることすらあります。 基本的には樽が落ちる前にひよこを回収していくだけで、詰まるようなことはあまりないかと。 手軽に癒されたい人にはいいと思います。 にわとりさんもひよこさんもあひるさんもみーんな角ばっててかわいいね。

Bem legal a dinâmica do jogo, além de ser bem desafiante. Parece ser bem fácil, mas depois a coisa vai ficando mais complicada. Ainda não consegui sair do nível 16 ): O nível de estratégia exigida é superior à minha hahaha mas não vou desistir. Muito bem bolado.

決められた手数以内でヒヨコを全部集めてゴールに到着するのが目的のパズルで無難に遊べる。全40面だがパズルらしくなるのは15面あたりから。難易度は低めでクリアまで40分程度だった。邪魔アイテムの樽が転がる度にニワトリの頭に？マークが出るのが可愛い。日本語対応はしていないが問題ない。リスタートはあるがアンドゥが無いのが残念。GPUの使用率が高めでファンが回る。

Short and sweet! The main mechanic involves working out which order to fetch your chicks with 40 levels in total. Certainly not very difficult but was a cute interlude :)
