Walking simulator. Explore, admire and listen. Uncanny. Relaxing. Unnerving. Eerie. Immersive. No monsters chasing you or jumping at your screen, but can feel oppressive at times by invoking fears of getting lost, the dark, tight spaces and liminal space architecture. Inspired by backrooms.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.57/day in the week to Aug 22 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I love this game and it's my favourite liminal space/backrooms game to date. The rooms are beautiful and the game gives you time to enjoy exploring without feeling like you have to rush due to a monster chasing you. There's also plenty of settings to play around with the graphics which was nice. The horror is very understated all-throughout the game. There was always that feeling of being alone but needing to look over your shoulder and around corners just in case. The special care that has been applied to the spacial audio of the game (water lapping, speakers playing music and footsteps) is where I feel, most of the creeping sense of unease comes from and is fantastic. Couldnt recommend enough.
Im not gonna lie,i played thru a crack site this game,i loved it so much i purchased it and replaying it again to get all achievements Graphics are just so precious and perfect, litteraly like real life, the feeling of being watched all the time, truly an underrated liminal space game SPOILERS AHEAD NOT ABOUT THE STORY BUT THE TYPE OF BACKROOMS GENRE What i liked the most is NO MONSTERS, we see little creatures peeking,etc...But after all the perfect genre for liminal spaces is making you feeling watched or being watched but never getting attacked GRAPHICS 10 to 10 Gorgeous literally best water game STORY Cant really give an opinion yet still confusing CONTROLS 10 to 10 Simple controls for this walkin sim ACHIEVEMENTS 5 to 10, simple achievements for simple tasks REPLAYABILITY 8 to 10 For the achievements or for this unique feel of being watched i would replay it again in VR for a 4th time

The Pools is a phenomenal work of art disguised as a video game. If you want more liminal horror, or just an exploration of a fascinating liminal environment The Pools offers incredibly well made, expansive, and compelling environments for players to explore. There is not much of a story, or much in the way of gameplay, this is purely a walking simulator but there is so much in the environment to take in from the sights, sounds, and odd pop up that is never a jump scare in the traditional overblown Hollywood sense. I wish there was more horror media such as this which explored what makes us unsettled yet fascinated by liminal environments. Highly recommend this video game!
好玩
Great walking simulator with poolcore vibe. No monster is definitely a bonus among other horror "backroom" games. I have motion sickness so I feel a little nauseated after completing the game. 7.5/10 a must-play for poolcore/dreamcore lovers.
amazing, i cried 4 times and was on edge the entire time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
calming game and is fun, also good for cinematic clips
相比于其他池核游戏, pools的恐怖感营造得更好。不是单纯靠怪物之类的元素,而是那种emm,说不上来的氛围感,而且节奏也可以随心而定,单纯作为一个逛池模拟器非常棒
