awesome game! super relaxing city builder where you unlock new items every time you level up, which is easily done just by placing items and playing the game. love that there's more than one map to build on, and theyre differently themed too so you can make something totally new with each map! can't beat the price, either. :) and the developer is super communicative and very helpful with any bugs you happen to encounter!
Really cute little game! Love the graphics and I love how big the maps are. Plenty to do so I'm on Level 15 (in two days of playing nonstop) and still having fun designing.
I'll be honest at first I was put off, zoom wasn't working on either mouse or keyboard and I was stuck with it on the same view, I bypassed the quest and was a little stuck at the start it doesn't explain perks too well and I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing, decorations seem to be the only option to gaining happiness, it took me a long time to work out how to upgrade ticket prices once I had leveled up the perks, I wish there was a search option so I could quick access specific buildings I wanted or needed for quests instead of trying to guess which category they were in (some were obvious other's not so much). I however enjoyed playing the game. It was relaxing and at my pace, I didn't feel rushed. There's no penalties like other city builders, the characters were cute the buildings were cute, I can only hope for more areas, neighbours and quests. I actually feel like I ripped the developers off which how cheap the game is, very cheap game that I was willing to pay more for.
A gently entertaining city builder, with easy-to-achieve objectives, and an open-world sandbox, all with three maps to work on. Not very challenging, but a lot of fun. Colorful buildings and decorations give it a delightful low-poly appearance. First person mode lets you walk your streets with your neighbours. If you're new to city builders, this is the perfect place to start because it can be learned in a few minutes of play without having to read a dense manual. It doesn't have taxes, utilities, airports, polluting industries, or any of the complexities of more advanced city sims, nor any penalties for building in the wrong place or not connecting pipes to a structure. But it has some challenges and rewards, and a happiness index you need to watch. Experienced sim-builders will also enjoy it as a relaxing entry in the genre that's already full of much deeper games but which require more time and focus. I think it would also appeal to the pre-teen and early teen gamers who haven't yet delved into simulations And it's hard to complain about the price: you get a lot for a very low cost, and a developer who responds to comments and suggestions on the community hub. Replay value is a bit limited once you've explored all the options and done all the quests on all three maps. I've spent a few hours crafting towns in sandbox mode, exploring what it offers and tinkering with layouts. There are some hidden delights in first person mode you should explore, too. I figure it's got about 15-20 hours of play before you've done everything a few times on all three maps. Overall, lots of fun, not a big challenge. Well worth it because it made me smile. I hope the developer is considering a version 2 or even some DLCs with more options, more structures, new maps, and new challenges. I'd buy more from him!
PROS: Cute graphics Easy to understand menus First-person mode to explore city No huge pressure to finish quests Not forced to focus on specific details CONS: Easy to get bored Item collision not 100% perfect Need to be idle for long periods to wait for money in early game ========== I like this game for its simple graphics and the ability to create a city without the threat of natural disasters or major threats. I also like that you only need to focus on citizen happiness rather than finer details such as basic needs for individual citizens. However, I will say that it does get boring quickly. Once you've built the city and finished the quests, there isn't very much to do when the map is full. Even trying out new maps does not add very much, other than a few new quests and buildings. The game is good for a few hours, but it quickly bores. It is a good time-killer though.
#100 Polyville Canyon Its fun for a bit. Went the entire game not realizing i was earning perk points. Didn't really matter, after a certain point, you're making so much money any discount is irrelevant. Pretty easy to pick and go, although a rundown on certain things would have been nice. I had all the achievements in about 4 but one. I set it to play in the background to get it, and realized i had over 1.2 billion dollars. So its pretty basic. I dont really see a point in replay, so about 4 hours is all your gonna get out of it. Graphics are bright, sound is meh. Get it on sale and you might average about .50 cent hour. Def. would not pay full price for it.
love it
Best two dollars I've spent in a long time. It's a simple city builder. The choices are a little limited, so you will end up building the same thing over and over. I'd give it a solid 6.5-7/10.
fun
I'm giving this a positive review because the price matches the entertainment value. BUT as advertised, this game takes absolutely no skill or planning. There is absolutely no strategy involved. You can't possibly lose and as far as I can tell so far, money means nothing because you make it so quickly and easily. For a $2 game, this is fine I guess.
