About
Create your own cozy forest!
Experience the full lifecycle of trees: seed, sapling, adult tree, dead tree and fallen trunk. Each step creates a different habitat for other plants and animals.
Each animal has specific habitat needs you have to fullfill before adding them. Squirrels need trees, butterflies need flowers etc.
Clicking on animals trigger different behaviors that influence the forest ecosystem: Moose poop, fertilizing the soil. Voles eat tree roots, damaging the tree. Foxes hunt other animals.
Create forests in diverse terrains including hills, lakes, mountains, fjords and wetlands. Terraform the terrain if you want even more control.
Forest fires, storms and bark beetle swarms affect the forest in various ways. Can you use them to your advantage and create a thriving ecosystem?

Solid B- Good for the price point and relaxing. Music is pretty excellent. And most of its jank is kinda charming, like when reindeer go up a steep cliff and their legs go all eldritch, or when martens fall out of trees. It's even occasionally beautiful, like when you see swifts flying together. But it's also not especially deep, and what little challenge it does have is more frustrating than fun. You keep losing daisies and dandelions, which are for some reason required for other bigger species, because they wind up in tree cover. You go from being starved for points to spend to having essentially infinite amounts without much curve. AI is not smart or effective, land is very weirdly shaped, the life forms involved are pretty few and far between, basically this doesn't simulate super well, but it's still pretty chill and lovely. I think what we'd want is something that allowed some life forms to exist in another layer, like trees "behind" where ground flowers and such exist, so there isn't so much interference, and ways for things to share space so we don't wind up with clumps that are trapped, instead of a bursting abundance of mixed life. Ways for predators to perhaps exploit terrain to make dens or something so we aren't watching everything just walk weirdly alongside each other. The restriction on animals, except reindeer and flying animals, being able to cross high areas makes sense in a day to day way, but since years pass in seconds, it feels like that restriction just shouldn't be in place, honestly. All in all, it was a decent 8 hours of campaign and I kinda don't care about the freeplay, so that's that.
Nice short game with goods achievements. Well worth it. Shame it's not going to be expanded on.
I love polypine and its definately worth every cent
This game is so chill, so cute and so relaxing. I love it so much! Love the graphics, love the animals, love trees and love the weather. It is so cool. Best cozy little game, I just need a silent mouse lol : )
I love this game, but I would love more campaigns and biomes.
Absolutely fantastic! PolyPine is such an educational and relaxing and adorable indie game. It's so simple yet so sophisticated. In this game, you learn how our ecosystem works with each other and for each other. I never thought I would learn so much in a game yet enjoy every bit of it. I fully support this game and will root for more development and expansion to the game! There is a minor issue, which is when your forest gets older and more huge with a lot more animals, the game starts to lag even on a gaming PC. On mobile version, a large forest, in my case, will fail to save and crash when I attempt to save the forest. As an artist with a game dev background and a plant enthusiast, I have quickly become a fan of Polypine and will keep sending my love!
Its fun :]
loved the demo, love the full game. lacks some optimisation. 9.8/10
