Seek fame or infamy in a richly simulated political world, complete with high stakes legislative strategizing, backroom deals and the press. Customize and play as the politician of your dreams (or nightmares).
Tailor your politician’s appearance, personality, views, ideology, influence, skills and agenda.
Customize the partisan breakdown of congress, the president’s party and ideology, what the filibuster threshold is and just how partisan and ideological the world is. See how these settings impact outcomes and your style of play.
Make your agenda a reality by drafting bills impacting dozens of policies.
Lobby the White House to see your agenda placed front and center, even being featured in the Inauguration and State of the Union.
Work behind the scenes to secure votes for your legislation and lobby for your bills, even during a vote.

NPCs evolve over time, cultivating alliances, grudges and reputations.

Love the Game. Very fun if you're into American politics. I'm enjoying the early access and can't wait to see the other things coming to the game.
I like how the game is set up and I'm so excited to see the road map be implemented. At this current stage I would hold off until this game is more developed but I'm really looking forward to the future!
Overall, I will play the s*** out of this game because i enjoy political simulations over the real at the moment. With that said, its early access and does not run as well as it needs to. There is a weird glitch when launching in fullscreen vs windowed. I thank the developers for their hard work and continued diligence when it comes to improving PA!
I only played for about 30 minutes, but even in that short time, it was clear how much depth this game has. Political Arena is a strategy/simulation sandbox about American politics, packed with detail. The character creation system is excellent, offering a wide variety of customization options so you can build the politician of your dreams (or nightmares)! From my perspective as someone unfamiliar with political policies, laws, and processes, the game felt very complex and overwhelming. There’s a lot of text, systems, and terminology to absorb, and it’s not particularly beginner-friendly if you don’t already follow politics. That said, the level of detail makes it feel remarkably realistic, with mechanics such as drafting bills, negotiating, backroom deals, scandals, and press coverage all woven into the gameplay, making you feel like a real politician. The game is currently in the Early Access stage, and Steam community reviews have noted that while the game has a strong foundation, it’s still limited in scope. For example, it currently mainly covers a single congressional term, but it appears that the developers have plans to expand on this in future version releases. Other players have praised how NPCs remember favors and grudges, making choices feel meaningful, but also mention that the gameplay can be buggy at times, with issues such as AI behavior or UI glitches. The developers describe it as a “one-of-a-kind political sim” where no two playthroughs are the same, thanks to procedural generation and shifting alliances. The complexity was too much to follow without doing outside research, but I can see how fans of political strategy will find this incredibly rewarding. If you enjoy deep systems, realism, and role-playing in a political world, this game is for you. If you’re not interested in politics or don’t want to read through pages of information, it may not be the best fit for you right now. Overall, I’d say Political Arena is ambitious, detailed, and promising, but definitely geared toward players who already have an interest in politics or who enjoy learning complex systems. Its replay value is high, as no two playthroughs are the same, thanks to procedural generation and shifting alliances, making it a game you can come back to again and again.
The idea is great but it still has a long way to go. Not much to do for now and some features are broken and cause performance issues.
Overall a good game with a lot of great ideas. Major improvements i would say the interface needs some work, most of the buttons are too small and unclear and the calendar is annoying , the character creator needs some improvement all the characters i see seem to have a feminine look no matter their gender, i would like to see more on campaign and on your constituents i would love to play as a leftist in a deep red state and have to campaign to convince an skeptical voting base or a fiscal conservative in a blue state we can see this in people like Phil Scott or Bernie's success in deep red states , the slider idea for policy is good one but i would like to see indicators similar to democracy 4, using public healthcare as an example there would state health service, universal public insurance, universal private insurance, old and poor only and no public health. Great game would love to see it when its fully completed
E' un bel gioco. E' appena stato rilasciato, è normalissimo che ci siano dei bug e ancora non sia perfetto, ma vedo tantissimo potenziale. Spero che continuino a starci dietro ed a non abbandonarlo.
Early stage of the game but a huge potential
That's damn good game fellas!
