Poker Simulator

First of all, the AI doesn't cheat regardless of what other reviews might say. If you go to any poker sim on Steam, you'll find the same thing, people claiming the game cheats. In reality, these people just aren't as good at poker as the sim. As far as this sim goes, the AI has different personalities, but all of them are fairly conservative, which makes this a challenging game for people who are used to playing online poker where half the table goes all-in in the first couple of hands. If you want to win the table, you have to earn it, and I think that's a great thing. Just consider this the Dark Souls of poker sims. :) There's an error in how the blinds move around the table, but that isn't really a big deal and can be adapted to fairly quickly. Another nice feature is that you can change the time interval with the blind increases. Also there's a button you can push to speed through the hands without watching all the animations. Overall, I'd say this is my favorite Poker sim on Steam.

The game is alright, but gets boring pretty fast because the AI is not good enough. The AI is extremely timid in the face of even small bets. They'll usually only fight when they have something, so it's easy to tell what they have a lot of the time. They won't figure you out like a human might, so you can do exactly the same thing every time and they'll fall for the same trap every single hand. If you raise pre-flop every single hand, a human would probably be able to figure out that you're betting with trash hands, but this AI sure won't. The game would probably be more fun if you just do what the AI does and call most hands pre-flop so you can actually see some action. If that works for you, have at it. The game also has problems with the pace. As far as I could tell, there are two options to speed up the game. There is quick play, which you can toggle at will in the game, and there is a setting for turning off character animations. Even with the animations turned off, there are some animations that still play, like dealing cards. This takes absolutely forever and there was no option to speed it up, so I felt that I had to play with quick play on. Quick play might make it feel like it's hard to figure out what happened, although I was able to keep track of it. However, even with quick play turned on and animations turned off, there are still a few animations that play, like an animation for throwing your cards on the table every time you fold, which can be pretty jarring when you're trying to play quickly.

It is a nice game and I love the tutorial aspect (some minor typos in the text) and fun to play. The quick play is a nice feature but it goes so fast its hard to see what the players are doing. As an aside, all poker games should have an option to turn on the top view permanently. I prefer that view. However, the 3D view isn't bad in this game. I like the combination of both in this game; however, a top view only version would be a nice option in the game. I don't regret buying it and keep wanting to play it.

Ich gebe es zu, ein großer Pokerspieler bin ich nicht, aber mit den richtigen Mitspielern kann es richtig Spaß machen. Noch mehr Spaß macht es natürlich, wenn man sich nicht total blamiert und wenigstens die Grundzüge der Regeln beherrscht, also musste vor der nächsten Partie ein wenig Training her. Ich habe vor einiger Zeit schon ein paar Stunden in Poker Night at the Inventory versenkt, ein extrem unterhaltsames Spiel mit schicker Grafik und verrückten (und bekannten) Charakteren, aber leider bringt es mein Pokerkönnen nicht wirklich vorran, der Poker Simulator verfolgt hier einen deutlich anderen Ansatz, mit Pokerschule, Lexikon und Minispielen (zwei Hände werden angezeigt und man muss die Gewinnerhand erkennen) schulen das Verständnis ziemlich gut. Außerdem gibt es noch eine Kampagne und verschiedene Turniermodi um das gelernte in die Tat umzusetzen, was natürlich nicht trainiert wird, ist das Pokerface - aber dafür gibt es ja immer noch die Gegner aus Fleisch und Blut. Ein weiterer Großer Pluspunkt: Das Spiel läuft schön flüssig auf meinem altersschwachen Asus VivoTab Note 8, also kann ich auch unterwegs weiterüben. Vor allem für den günstigen Preis meiner Ansicht nach Empfehlenswert (wenn ich beim nächsten Mal auch nur eine Runde weniger ausgeben muss, hat sich der Preis schon gerechnet).

Richtig geiles Pokerspiel Macht tierisch Spaß auch wenn man kein Pokerface hat

Aus unerklärlichen Gründen funktioniert das Spiel bei mir nicht. Ich kann es starten und die Schule, sowie die Minigames machen, aber sobald ich richtig pokern möchte, passiert nichts. Dennoch bekommt das Spiel von mir eine positive Bewertung, da der Support schnell, unkompliziert und sehr nett ist.

Deje el PC encendido con el juego ejecutándose sin darme cuenta. Creía que llevaba menos de 20 minutos y cuando voy a pedir el reembolso, aún costándo 1'5 €,, veo que marcaba 2h 35" de juego. Me lo comeré con patatas, tiene menos gracia que un atardecer en el colector de una alcantarilla.
