This game is bright, colorful, aesthetically pleasing and mechanically satisfying. If you like puzzle games even minimally, you owe it to yourself to grab this game and give it a play. The developer states after you complete the current content that there will be more puzzles added in the future. Pretty much every world in this game adds additional mechanics as well as using the mechanics added in previous worlds. If this glowing review isn't enough to make you willing to spend $5 for a small game, play the demo. You don't get to play any of the more meaty, complex puzzles, but it will give you enough of an idea to decide if "Yes, I do like this."
Nice puzzle game with a cute pinball theme. Rather simple concept, but executed very well - super pleasing puzzle experience. :)
Great Game! Very difficult, but even more satisfying.
Un super jeu de puzzle ! Les graphismes sont très mignons et la difficulté est très progressive. Les indices sont très bien conçus aussi pour nous aiguiller "un petit peu, mais pas trop" ! Je recommande !
- cute graphics - soothing music - has dark mode to reduce eye strain - intuitive puzzles without wall of text - great pacing of difficulty - fun puzzle levels with some red herrings
I really enjoyed the bite-sized nature of this game. Very straightforward mechanics, yet the puzzles manage to make a lot of use out of small spaces. Some levels were quite difficult for me so the ability to use as many or as few hints as desired without any kind of penalty was very welcome. Very chill music and atmosphere. And heck, who doesn’t love pinball?
To start, Plungeroo is a great idea and it initially grabs you by the balls ;) It's fun and the mechanics at first are quite easy to work with. The sound design and visuals are fantastic too. However, these are the only positives IMO. As you get further into the game, you get dealt more advanced mechanics. This doesn't sound like a bad thing until you hit the wall and go from trying to solve the puzzle to just randomly trying everything trial and error wise. At the time of writing this review, I am on level 6-9 *Nice!* and themain issue I am having is trying to work out how the arrow bumpers and the turning angle bumbers work together. MY biggest issue with these is that everything plays through SO DAMN QUICKLY that you can't see and figure out how things should be put. This game REALLY REALLY REALLY needs a slow motion play function It's so frustrating trying to visualise how things should be put and you can't! (or you can with great difficulty). I think if there was a slow motion play function where it gives you time to actually see how the pieces interact with each other, then a lot of people could SOLVE the puzzles and not just attempt them trial and error wise as I have been doing for a while. This game starts out strong and fun but turns into a chore (IN MY OPINION).
It’s definitely not a bad game. The problem is that tracing the pinball path from start to end isn’t interesting at all. Even though each chapter introduces slight variations, the overall gameplay remains the same. In my opinion, a puzzler should feel rewarding when you solve each stage. In this game, that sense of reward should come from completing the path and watching the pinballs bounce through it. Unfortunately, the process of solving the pieces feels underwhelming.
