So i have just started this game and man it's crazy like you're a kick azz platypus and you beat up some people who were possessed by the evil gator (definitely satan) and now I can't wait for the dark souls like boss fight were I am a tiny creature to the evil gator (or crocodile i dunno still satan for sure) i parryed like 5 of the reptiles that attacked me and it felt awesome this game is 10/10 better than elden ring Better get game of the year. (will add on to this after i finish the playthrough)
Great visuals and music by a solo dev. Really cool storyline. Super cute, funny and complex characters. Reminds me of nostalgic platformer games. A cool adventure game across different environments with awesome "big bad" characters/story.
The game is pretty crude in it's current state, but it's constantly updating and the developer is very devoted, active, and responsive to feedback. I'll certainly be playing again in the future to see how it has evolved over time~ Kudos as this is a solo developer.
10/10!! This game is going straight to the pool room! Playing as a platypus in a beautifully detailed environment with changing weather patterns is relaxing. Swimming underwater feels so right, and the hundreds of animations this developer has perfected makes this game something to marvel. I think it's perfect for those hectic work days because you can totally unwind in this rainforest. The game brings those peculiar Australian critters into play which is pretty rare to find. As rare as finding a platypus in a creek? Definitely worth some of your dollarbucks for sanity. To the developer--thank you!!
I previewed the game because I thought it would suit my niece. I was captivated & enthralled by the characters, landscapes, and original instrumental soundtrack. Check out the forest landscape & listen to the Reunion track. I recommend purchasing both. The Platy package is full of surprises. This is incredible work from an Aussie independent game developer with a passion for the unique Australian flora & fauna.
a lot of fun, I like the aussie theme and the visuals. definitely a cruisy game i can play without stress, enjoyably so. Highly recommend multiple playthroughs so you can just set off in any direction.
Thoughts so far as a new player: Incredibly detailed world that's really just stunning. All made with passion by just one guy. Every single asset used was created by just one person. I haven't gotten far yet but so far it's been a fairly pleasant experience. The game is regularly updated even over a year past its release. Honestly I'm pretty impressed and feel inspired to do more with my own stuff!
This game is great, I love all the Australian animals that interact with each other. The soundtrack is awesome it even has a didgeridoo, a truly remarkable set of tracks that compliment the game perfectly. This is not a gory killing game and would be a good choice for children wanting to experience Australian animals.
I actually stumbled across this game on Twitch, so I was able to see live game play and ask questions before I even purchased the game. The moment I saw the little Platypus I knew this was a game I wanted to play. The scenery and music in this game are amazing. I even bought the soundtrack so that I can listen to the music while I am not playing. I would definitely recommend.
