The concept behind the story of this game is quite good. The presentation, style-wise is also very appealing to the eye, as are the overal controls and the UI, albeit there are some bugs that deter from the experience from time to time. The game itself is fairly easy to learn, although not as easy to master. Some skills are required to master the management of the inventory, but I hope that this particular element of the game will undergo further polishing as its one of the elements that gets mentioned in other reviews on a regular basis. I mean, if you play the game you will see for yourself that getting used to the inventory in this game takes some time. As far as bugs go, there are some game breaking things to be expected, although some seem to stem from the quirky game mechanics that appear as bugs but are just strange elements to the inner workings of the UI. It wouldn't be fair to dismiss the game just because the demo version is riddled with some issues, therefore I do not consider these bugs as I am making my assessment of the game. As mentioned before, the game has this semi hand drawn, semi pixel shader art style. It kind of reminds one of the Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales game and it does look good and fits the theme of the game in a way, but I may be biased here as I prefer hand drawn art style over 3D textures. The sound work is pretty good and so are the spoken voices of the characters. As far as the gameplay goes,I liked that you are not led by the hand and, like in a real apocalypse, you have to make decisions independently and often irreversibly: tasks are rather descriptions of the general situation, not mandatory orders, so the game flow is more organic and lets you explore more than follow the dots as in many other games. IT does feel a little bit like a mobile game though, but maybe due to how units move and the overal turn-based presentation of the game. I am also intrugued by the PvE survival element of the game as well as the base building. I've not played the demo long enough yet to have formed an opinion, but so far this part of the game does not detract from the main story nor slow the pace down too much to be a problem. It looks as though there is a solid game there, once the Devs do release the final product. It might be a niche game, still, but it will have a fan base for sure. Looking forward to the full game.
I expect this is what they wanted with the demo but my god is it obnoxious and I forgot it's a demo, so I kept getting loot and hoarding it all. But my people got tired all the time because of the witch having low energy so you need to keep her out of the team. The crafting doesn't always work, can't get rope I had to kill zombies and get rope eventually randomly. The combat is lackluster you basically just end up spamming click click click. Ran out of arrows couldn't make more, couldn't repair armor but it still provided armor. If they work on it, it might actually be good, but so far it kept me interested enough to fight through the end. It may also try to be too complex for what it has right now, skills, attributes, gear, but in the demo most of it doesn't matter. The building system is horrible, you can't build wherever you want and if you are too far you can't use your storage items, but then you put the buildings in the way and can't go through them or around them except if you REALLY go around them and waste time. The AP system is horrible and idk why it exists, except for holding a building and having people reinforce or attack outside it has no reason to exist. The game is too bare bones to recommend and the camera is shaky because of how it's made to run or move square to square so when you move around the map it keeps jerking you around.
First, when the title is in English, then the default language should be English. Second: Settings menu can't be scrolled down here, as that hand icon mouse pointer does not transform, nor can I use the arrow keys to even see the other half of the options. 👀 I manged to improvise, but that was not very comfy. Controls are a but clunky & janky in-game, and the story is thrown at us before we know, how to play that game. 🧐 Third: That so called ``survival horror´´ BS spoils the start! The mercs did not even walk for 20 minutes, and already starvation & dying from thirst beacon! SKIP THAT CRAP. We cannot customize our characters at all, which makes me not feel attached enough to enjoy an otherwise neat story idea, albeit nothing special. Medieval Zombie Outbreak style, copycat 9990987. 🥳 When a game still is like that after first fixes & updates, then I better uninstall instead of expecting DEVS to effing care about what product they dish!
Did it al last. Difficult enough but promising one.
Ну вообще вроде норм
Cracking game - very excited for full release!
