Placid Plastic Duck Simulator

Plastic Plasic duck simulator is an idler game that runs on your desktop and generates adorable different ducks in a chilling pool. There is a duck with little ducklings, a duck with stripes, a duck with camo and even a duck with a knife that looks slightly unhinged and terrifying. So, there truly is a duck for all! The Ducks: The Ducks are by far the best part of the game as its fun to name them and watch them float and sometimes get stuck. The Ducks are not interactable aside from making them quack or scream for dear life. So if a Duck happens to, let’s say, get stuck, in let’s say a gigantic flamingo floatie, this duck will be stuck until that Knife duck shows up and finishes the flamingo for you. You can truly name them anything which can lead to fun and silly situations. For more silly ducks you can purchase the dlcs. The Puzzles: Devs love to add puzzles some lore here and there and secret rooms who open if you do certain things or ducks that only spawn at certain locations and moments. This makes every map worth exploring, but I do wish there was one big all-ducks map where you could just see all the ducks ever created together. DLC: The dlcs add achievements and special maps and ducks. You can usually see if a pack has a map and what ducks there are in the packs, but if you want precise information you can likely find a duck list online for each dlc. I had a love/hate relationship with this feature as many did too as some of us felt a bit forced to buy the dlc to keep the 100% active however that wasn’t the case for me, as I just enjoyed seeing the new maps and the new duckies and quietly enjoyed the moments the game forced me to come back. VERDICT: A cute charming game for fun on your desktop, but be aware of where you put this. I’ve had experiences with the ducks being on my desktop and then looking away and looking back and some ducks had left the pool. But a simple close the game and restart should spawn them all back in in the pool safely. I do like the different ducks and the concept because it is so relaxing to just watch them float and bump into things and kinda watch them have peace in ways us humans never will acieve. Anyway- Big positive rating from me.

Very cute but simple "screensaver" type idle game for a fairly low price. However, with how much in-game DLC advertising/spinoff game advertising there is, and how much they charge for fairly simple DLC, and the fact that they keep locking 100% achievements behind new DLC... it kind of makes what's supposed to be a fairly cute and simple game feel money-grubbing.

The very first time I played this 'game', I had a fever and my TV was too bright to have playing idly. So I stumbled to my desk which is only a foot away from my bed (small rooms, don't ask), and loaded up the ducks before stumbling back into the nesting grounds of my fevor. This is an mazing game to just have on in the background when you have a fever and can't do much else. Watching the ducks float around when I'm drowsy from fever reducer's is the best thing you could ask for -- Just you, the softness of your bed, a chill musical playlist, and hundreds of ducks to watch idly while you drift in and out of sleep. Literal years later, here I am again, returning to the game and giving it the review it so justly deserves -- For every feverish night the ducks have accompayed me for, they deserve every single cent I can muster for them. The addition of the baby ducks has to be my favorite, simply because I look away from the screen for a moment and return to all of the baby ducks stick in the corner of Infinity Cool's small pool, under the tube and unable to be sucked back into the larger pool. I cannot help them and they are on their own, much to my dismay.

This is the stupidest most beautiful game I have ever played and I would like to particularly give a shoutout to the developer for adding echoes to the duck quacks when applicable. I have been laughing for the past ten minutes simply because of this attention to detail, thank you. I would also like to take a moment to appreciate that some ducks have different quacks and I am 1,000% here for it, truly a game of beauty xD

[b][u]SO MANY DUCKS[/u][/b] It's kinda awesome how they made a game where you literally don't do anything enjoyable. There is no gameplay, you just wait and look at ducks. You wait and wait until more different ducks spawn, or until something happens. What is that "something" that might happen? You'll never know if you don't just stay and check what happens! You can also name your ducks, and make up stories about them and stuff. Yeah, like I said, you don't do anything at all in this game besides staring at ducks. And somehow that's enjoyable. Just crank your sanity down to zero and your patience up to 100 and relax with your various friends (the ducks are the friends).

this is the most beautiful work of art and technology ever made and truly expresses human creativity and determination. it's one of, it is the greatest game of all time.
