The end results are cool and it's neat that if you want more gibs in an explosion you can just drag a slider to increase particle count, and if you want smoke to add another layer. It's however fairly clunky to use and the UI is not the nicest to use. My main gripe with this application is that it crashes a lot and it makes it hard to recommend as I did lose what I had been working on a few times. This paired with the long loading time (for me, apparently not normal) made it frustrating to use. At the end of the day I think that this application is not what I'm looking for, and I would be better off with procedural animations that feel like they're more a part of the world. However if the application was stable and fast to load it would be really nice to replace programmer art with this and not have to worry as much about programming particles.
