Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 23 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Pitty Meaty is a small-scale horror game that proves an unsettling concept can be just as effective as a large budget when it comes to creating fear. Developed and published by Galactic Geckon, the game places players in a bleak forest environment where survival depends on careful exploration, resource management, and uncovering the truth behind a bizarre nightmare. Drawing inspiration from internet horror stories, urban legends, and psychological survival experiences, Pitty Meaty builds its identity around a grotesque central figure that leaves a lasting impression long after the game is finished. The premise is immediately unusual and memorable. Players find themselves trapped within a dark forest haunted by a gigantic, bloated corpse head that roams the area. The creature's appearance is disturbing enough on its own, but the game succeeds because it treats the threat seriously rather than turning it into a joke. From the opening moments, the environment feels hostile and unnatural. Every trip deeper into the woods creates a sense of unease, and the knowledge that a monstrous presence lurks nearby gives even simple exploration an edge of tension. Unlike action-heavy horror games that arm players with powerful weapons and encourage confrontation, Pitty Meaty focuses more on vulnerability and survival. Resources are limited, forcing players to carefully manage what they collect while exploring. Ammunition and supplies become valuable commodities rather than disposable tools. This scarcity creates meaningful choices throughout the game, as players must constantly decide whether to investigate unfamiliar locations or conserve resources for future dangers. The result is a survival loop that keeps tension consistently high. Exploration serves as the foundation of the gameplay experience. The forest is filled with hidden notes, clues, and environmental details that gradually reveal the mystery behind the horrifying events. Rather than delivering its story through lengthy cutscenes or exposition-heavy dialogue, the game encourages players to piece together information themselves. This method of storytelling works particularly well within the horror genre because it allows imagination to fill the gaps. Every discovery feels earned, and the process of uncovering the truth becomes just as important as avoiding the dangers that inhabit the forest. Atmosphere is where Pitty Meaty excels the most. The developers understand that effective horror often comes from anticipation rather than constant scares. Long stretches of uneasy silence, limited visibility, and environmental uncertainty create a persistent feeling of dread. The forest itself becomes a character in the experience, with its dark pathways and isolated locations contributing to a sense of helplessness. Players rarely feel completely secure, and that lingering anxiety helps maintain immersion throughout the adventure. The game's visual presentation is simple but effective. Rather than pursuing photorealistic graphics, it focuses on creating imagery that supports the unsettling tone. Shadows, lighting, and environmental design work together to produce an oppressive atmosphere. The creature itself is easily the visual centerpiece of the game. Its grotesque appearance is both shocking and memorable, serving as a constant reminder that something deeply wrong exists within the world. Even when the monster is not directly visible, its presence can often be felt through the surrounding tension. Sound design plays a crucial role in strengthening the horror experience. Ambient noises, distant sounds, and subtle audio cues make the forest feel alive in unsettling ways. The game uses silence intelligently, allowing players' imaginations to create fear before introducing more direct threats. Moments of sudden noise or unexpected audio changes become significantly more effective because of the quiet tension that precedes them. This careful approach to sound helps sustain suspense from beginning to end. One of the more interesting aspects of Pitty Meaty is how it embraces absurd horror concepts without losing its ability to frighten the player. On paper, the idea of a giant corpse head roaming through a forest sounds almost ridiculous. However, the game's commitment to its premise allows the concept to become genuinely disturbing. By treating the threat as something terrifying rather than comedic, the developers successfully transform an unusual idea into the source of real tension. The mystery at the heart of the game adds another layer of engagement. Players are encouraged to search for answers regarding the origins of the creature and the strange events surrounding the forest. The narrative unfolds gradually through exploration, giving the experience a sense of progression beyond simple survival. This storytelling approach rewards curiosity and motivates players to continue venturing deeper into dangerous territory despite the risks involved. As with many independent horror projects, the game has certain limitations. The gameplay mechanics remain relatively straightforward, and some players may wish for greater variety in objectives and interactions. Exploration and resource collection form the majority of the experience, which can occasionally lead to repetitive moments. The narrative also leaves some questions unanswered, which may either enhance the mystery or frustrate players seeking complete explanations. Additionally, the production values are understandably modest when compared to larger horror releases. Despite these shortcomings, Pitty Meaty succeeds because it focuses on atmosphere and concept rather than attempting to overwhelm players with complexity. The game understands how to create unease through environmental design, pacing, and psychological tension. It offers a focused horror experience that remains memorable largely because of its strange premise and effective execution. Pitty Meaty is an eerie and imaginative indie horror title that delivers a surprising amount of tension through relatively simple mechanics. Its oppressive atmosphere, unsettling creature design, environmental storytelling, and survival-focused gameplay create an experience that horror fans are likely to appreciate. While it may not possess the scale or polish of major genre releases, it compensates with originality and a strong sense of identity. For players who enjoy unsettling mysteries, creepy folklore-inspired monsters, and exploration-driven horror, Pitty Meaty offers a strange and memorable journey into the darkness. Rating: 7/10

not good
