Good 2d platformer adventure with his share of charm. Short and sweeth. Recommended.

I wanted to play this game for a long time. And I guess I could like this game if not for bad not remappable controls, no gamepad support (in a platformer) and 25-50fps on a i7+gtx970 which results in even more troubles controlling the character. BTW this game has cards.

Tags: Platformer Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library Xbox360 not working. Weird keyboard layout. Multiple abilities you can activate to change movement and protag's behavior are accessed through a clunky radial menu. Game's first task is to go on a blind easter egg sending you backtracking in the initial tutorial level. Game's aesthetic choice looked a little bit like a pastel handdrawn thing which was relaxing on the eyes. Remove for declutter. Not a pleasant paltforming experience. Story is about trying to go save your dead ghost brother from an overweight demon lobster.
If you are a GenXer with fond memories of all the weird, low budget sci-fi films that were made in the 1970s, then I think there is enough here to recommend, despite the clunky and somewhat frustrating controls. This game is clearly a case of the developers being better artists than programmers, and while it is rough around the edges from a technical standpoint, the artwork and music make it worth playing, at least for me.
A very short, forgettable platformer. The aesthetic and music is pretty good, but the collision detection, and character movement are very wonky. Movement in water is also terribly slow. The powers are sort of cool, though there seems to be space for one more power I never got? The story is just odd, and not particularly enticing. The game really just lacks polish on the gameplay side.
Very nice game

It’s a mostly serviceable simple little Metroidvania, whose positives and negatives keep each other’s balance. The artwork is pretty to look at and there are a few neat puzzle mechanics here and there, but that’s counterweighed by floaty and imprecise controls – which can’t be rebound and don’t support controller input – and a general lack of the player knowing where to go and what to do. Given that this is an exploration themed game, that’s not too much of a problem, but you’ll notice that most Metroidvanias offer a map screen to orient yourself, which this one sadly doesn’t. Overall there’s not a lot to say about this. The narrative is pretty basic and the whole affair can be completed in less than 90 minutes. I’ll give it a mild recommendation, but don’t expect much out of it.
