For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.

What is Smart-Pause Gameplay (SPG)
To combine the tactical depth of turn-based strategy games with the dynamic flow of real-time combat, we developed a pause system for Pirate Patrol called Smart Pause Gameplay (SPG).
SPG is inspired by the Real-Time with Pause (RTwP) systems found in many real-time games, but it goes a step further by significantly enhancing the player’s sense of control in a real-time environment. With SPG, the game intelligently pauses based on the player’s input and intent, allowing for smooth, intuitive tactical decision-making.
This system enables players to plan ahead and issue commands without breaking immersion—eliminating the need to constantly press a pause button or deal with disruptive interruptions caused by scripted or repetitive events. The result is a more fluid and responsive tactical experience that stays fast-paced while remaining deeply strategic.

I just got the game after the last update and I have to say it's a very interesting concept. The game is quite complex, it's based on managing a large ship, with crew, fighters, equipment, completing missions and exploring a large universe. It has RPG elements and even though it's still in alpha it's a lot of fun. I highly recommend it. It needs adjustments here and there but nothing that breaks the gameplay so far.
That game feels like its vibe coded. Nothing againt vibe coding but the game is not ready. - inconsistent UI styles - unintuitive controls - bugs + great idea = story origins are there but not polished

Really great game i like it.
edit: Gonna have to come back, I am trying but it's crashing too much and shouldn't. I enjoy it, looking forward to future updates and qol work. wow I was just taking a break from x4 foundations(amazing game btw) and this game caught my attention. Ended up playing for 14 hours straight, it's one of those, "one more turn" type of games for me. I would say, ok I am done, then you travel to a place to log off and boom, you're in a battle and the maps are kinda long, which I like. Eventually you gotta be like "I am done" lol I have been looking for something like this. I like to smoke, theorycraft and game; this one is perfect for it with it's pause function letting me chill and make my moves step by step. I turned off smart pause cuz in games with em, I like to control it but the smart pause function is nice, I tried it and went back and forth but I don't like being surprised by a pause because I hovered over something so I stick with good ol space bar and it's perfect. And I like games I can one-hand and not be so hard on my hands as I am older and some games I can't play due to pain in my fingers. First, I hope they continue working on it cuz it def needs some polish. I have crashed 3-4 times and there are many QOL things that I feel should be in, like having to reselect father everytime I want to move and not being able to hotkey. And your save doesnt bring you back to the exact location, so you have to start whatever you were doing again, often traveling back to where you were. I also think I lost my skill points after I reload cuz they were gone. I am going to give the error code to the devs so they can work on that along with some feedback. I really enjoy this game tho, the bones of it is really nice. Reminds me of Starsector and the sounds are amazing. Lots of crunch and booms, sounds are really nice and the music is catchy. There is also this background radio background chatter that goes really well with everything. I stayed in the 1st few planets until I was vaporzing the big ships and making millions. It was really hard in the beginning but the progression feels nice and I love sending my fighters out and watch them work. Now I send them on a volley and they destroy...damage numbers so long idk what it is and makes me smile inside. It's easy to see what upgrades when selling, equipping. The gear and ships seems to roll rng so you're always looking for upgrades when you get loot because it's not all just cookie-cutter stats. Like sometimes you will find a common with some god rolls. I love that part of it. Your pilots and crew rolls stats so later you're looking for pilots with good rolls, like I am grabbing 1800+ pilot and 500+ speed rated boys and they seem to do a lot better than the tier 1s you get in the beginning. My latest pilot was 2400 pilot and 800 speed but had a low crit chance of 3% which I look for 10+. So it gives you an idea of something being close to being great but having a stat that gimps it if you're trying to min-max. For me, I am always on a look out for upgrades and there is no shortage of em. Also the game uses a logistics system which has points available for the ship to function: fire, move, repair etc. Well, if you get low on logisitc points and not near a station, you can take some of your trash loot and convert to logistic points on the spot so you can stay in the fight for a long time, as long as there are enemies you can keep going. I like that and not being forced to head home to refuel just to go back out. Idk it lets me grind and sustain my fleet. I like it. Your captains on the bridge all brings skills you can use and adds to the strategy of it all. It's nice when going into a big battle and activating your skills in proper order to gain the most benefit. Then watching everything go brrrrrrt You gotta keep an eye out for your pilots, recall em, let them heal then send them out again. Build the Father as a tank and soak up the damage. Then when you're fighters are good, send them on another run. I like managing them. I just wish there was a hotkey to select all. I am sure they will add those things or aware. idk I am not a dev. I play with a razor mouse with buttons on side and always try to map the most important on that. Again, for my poor hands lol getting older Def worth it if you're into these type of games. I love big battle carrier type ships and this one fits that bill. I have 14 hours as of this review and I have only done 4 planets and have 99% of the map left, so excited to see what is out there I hope they continue to address some of the issues being brought up. I love this game tho, keep going, you got a good one here. Game has been out for a month, but if you give it a shot you will see it doesn't deserve all these negative reviews. So much slop nowadays, it's always nice to find something that stands out. Especially with the space genre, give the devs a bone to elevate the good ones but provide feedback so they can improve for sure. Is it perfect, hell no, stay away if you will get mad if it crashes because for me, it happened 4 times in those 14 hours and I tried border etc. Game has a good save system otherwise in other games, I quickly quit when things start crashing. I think this is the only game I have ever stuck with like this. Usually I am done especially if your game is a hot mess, I am out but idk this one was different. I hope they can fix that. I will see how it plays today. I am gonna disable overlays and mess around and pass along the error code to devs cuz crashing isn't cool but it's expected. I am an 80s baby and my first system was a NES. I am just blown away at how far it has come! o7
I can see potential in this game, and even considering it is early acces though, I have to say: I am not even sure I was playing it right. It is a confusing mess and no tutorial can be found, so maybe I missed some things, maybe it just is what it is. Currently I cannot recommend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiqdpKzs-RE
I love space games. But this one is strange. Game lags. Clunky controls. A lot of ideas but realisation... I wish all good for dev, but in current state, sorry, not for me.
Absolutely fun and adventureouse. Still being early access i expect hiccups or problems, those were far and between. Had a great time playing and controls were really good. i like they included a creator button to stop the music. Can not wait to see how far this can go!!
Köszönöm szépen a kódot a fejlesztőtől, ebből a játékból még masszív űr stratégia lesz akármeddig is lesz korai hozzáférésben :)
This game has a good potential to get really interesting. At the moment it's in a really early alpha status. Don't expect to much. Dear devs: Keep up the work and you will get a real gem. :)
