Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

What is Smart-Pause Gameplay (SPG)
To combine the tactical depth of turn-based strategy games with the dynamic flow of real-time combat, we developed a pause system for Pirate Patrol called Smart Pause Gameplay (SPG).
SPG is inspired by the Real-Time with Pause (RTwP) systems found in many real-time games, but it goes a step further by significantly enhancing the player’s sense of control in a real-time environment. With SPG, the game intelligently pauses based on the player’s input and intent, allowing for smooth, intuitive tactical decision-making.
This system enables players to plan ahead and issue commands without breaking immersion—eliminating the need to constantly press a pause button or deal with disruptive interruptions caused by scripted or repetitive events. The result is a more fluid and responsive tactical experience that stays fast-paced while remaining deeply strategic.

I recommend this game to those that are into complex games. I'm sure this is a great game but for my wee little brain, it's just not for me. I haven't played the game long enough to give any positive or negative review. Too much on the screen for me and I don't have the patience to read everything to learn the game. To each their own review.

This game seems like one I'll hopefully be able to sink a lot of time into in the future, for now it needs more time in the tank.
This is awful. Somehow, despite being made with temu sprites, it has massive performance issues. Tons of AI art and voices. Controls feel unresponsive and don't match up with tutorial instructions. It's basically one of those one-lane tug of war games with "my first coding project" vibes. Refunding immediately.

The general idea is nice, but it looks like it was done as a school project. The Controls are non standard and strange. Select Units with Right Mouse Button for example. There is no clear Art Direction and everything looks like it's AI generated. You have Pixel Art Character Pictures, when you recruit them, in Dialoges, the Characters are PNG Images, some are Comic Art, some look like an AI generated them. The Fonts, yes, the style of writing, is all over the place. Multiple Fonts in the same picture, none used for highlighting certain things, it's just all over the place. It really looks like, one screen was made by Person A, the next one by Person B and they never talked to each other. The Gameplay is like a version of Battlestar Galactica and the Idea is great, but the execution, is so bare bones, that I would consider it a School Project and not a true game. So please devs, remake it in "good". The Idea is there. Maybe in Pirate Patrol 2, when you get your Design in Order, it would be worth the money. Right now... avoid.
Very buggy. A lot of the game features just plain isn't even finished yet. Would love to see someone finish this "project", but as is this should be considered an alpha release at best. It isn't done. Fun to blow things up with a fighter swarm sporting glitched missiles that annihilate anything though.
No updates since very early March. Game isn't fun in it's current state. Avoid this like the plague.
