It's easy to get an idea of whether or not you'll like this game by watching the trailer, but the truth is even that doesn't fully convey just how addicting this game is, what with the use of a 3 star ranking system, instantaneous retries, and that nagging feeling you get when you could do something JUST A BIT better. Even stopping briefly to write up this review, I'm kinda wanting to just jump back in and retry beaten stages to Gold Star them. This is clearly made by someone who knows his way around old-school arcadey game design. Thankfully you don't actually have to put quarters in to keep playing. Also that soundtrack is freaking fantastic.

Después de jugarlo un rato, me ha gustado, ya que te hace pensar y es bastante divertido al tener tantos colores y cosas aleatorias ocurriendo. Me ha frustrado un poco que al disparar el ángulo fuera ligeramente distinto al del disparo.

World 1: Wow I think I'm good at this game! Asteroid level: I was wrong. This game gets hard! I appreciate the instructions with the new concepts being introduced. It's also colorful with nice original music.

The game and the music are great. Loved the level designs, and the throwback homages. The music set a great ambience, and I love the different ways the concept was used to provide different play experiences. The bosses were a good touch. Downside: I played with a controller which worked perfectly fine, except in the menus. It was not obvious what was being highlighted, and there was no mouse on screen to help, if I wanted to use that. And the retro win fanfare, while fun, breaks immersion a bit in contrast to the more modern techno soundtrack. I would have like to see the stages unlock one at a time (I accidentally did the World 1 boss before anything), and somehow I missed the idea that the "ball" could be shot at lower power, until I absolutely HAD to do it to pass a level and accidentally stumbled on it. Overall: great fun though. I couldn't stop playing, and there appears to be an unlimited number of possible puzzles one could make. Which makes me hope (though I understand it's like making a whole other game) that there will be a creator mode at some point in the future.
