I tried this game out on the flight to Mexico yesterday and I was having so much fun. Everyone sitting next to me was intrigued by Pigeon's Mission. I got pretty good using the keyboard, but I do wish I had a formal controller to use. The game isn't that easy, but it's also not frustratingly challenging, which is what I'm looking for. I'm looking forward to my flight back home and I'll keep playing then after this work trip.
Backed this on kickstarter and was worried, it wouldn't get funded. Was glad it got funded, very fun game so far! Haven't gotten too far yet, but I know I will and it is a very good game!
There is a lot to like here… bit the player movement is way, way, wayyyyy too slow. Please work on speeding the game up a bit. If that happens, it’ll be a certified banger for old school Sega genesis style platformer fans.
A great game for platforming fans, with a heartwarming story behind it, of a duo of father and son as developers. It actually plays really well too. The controls are very responsive and precise. And the health system they use (harvest pulse) is actually quite ingenious. I think it would be a great start for anyone trying to have a great time with their kids etc. Well done.
I backed this game as the premise is cute--a 6 year old and his dad working together to make a game. I have now played/finished the game, having streamed it as well, so I can offer thoughts. Graphics, music, and gameplay are all solid. Story is cute and easy to follow. The timer resetting at checkpoints is tremendously forgiving, and helpful if/when trying to speedrun. I encountered some bugs/glitches that I would like to send to the dev. I managed, more than once, to find a way to fall off a level and into the infinite void below. WHOOPS! 😅 There's also a bug in 6-2 where you cannot get the mech suit, as the hero simply runs past it. ACK! Returning to map did not help. I would also like it if after finishing the game, you could go back and replay any of the levels if you didn't get the 4* ranking. I had a couple I wanted to do clean up off stream. Overall, tons of fun, and the amount of love put into the game is apparent. Good stuff! 👍👍👍
I'm still on the early stage of the game and it's promising and very nostalgic!! It has the same cool features of the Rockman EXE that I used to play.
Solid quick platformer, 2 of the bosses actually have some challenge to them. If you're in the mood for a quick fun light hearted Mega Man style game this is great. It's not perfect but it's fun. I left my computer on overnight through a work day, my playtime is really like 6-8 hours.
I will eventually beat this game, but I just wanted to write a super early review and say this game is a 10/10. I can tell the kid love Mega Man and a little bit of Mario, but this game is so Capcom coded it's not even funny. So, I am going to lean towards Mega Man. And the birds down attack reminds me of the Nail in Hollow Knight, which I think is freakin cool. The song in the game intro/launch screen makes you want to play the game even more. The is a great entry level for kids to jump in and get to gaming without any worry at all. Also, the birds parents sorta reminds me of Bruce's parents for some reason. Either way, the color, the graphic and the audio of the game are fantastic. Kid keep of the good work. And LASTLY, having your own voice in the game as part of your branded logo is insanely well placed.
Quack
Disclosure: I backed this game on Kickstarter. Review: A sweet and brief game that is easy to Pick up and play, with a sweet heart. The controls are very intuitive, making it fun to move around in the levels, and the levels themselves are varied with new things popping up so that you’re never bored. You can definitely feel the family passion in the game, both in regards to the old-school gameplay style and the story about a boy trying to save his family. Is very sweet. I recommend this game and hope that John and Logan may make more games in the future
