There's barely any curated levels, about 20. However they are all garbage. I have played many picross games and this one seems like AI slop. There's ai generated levels from keywords and they are all terrible. I ended up just putting random words in the 5x5's as they were easiest to complete usually with 1 dot. The achievement to complete 100 levels feels super grindy as all the levels are repetitive. The controls are not intuitive, where if you drag over already completed parts, it erases your work. There are much better picross titles and would recommend almost anything over this.
Barely any puzzles and hardly challenging at all.
a lot of the "generated puzzles" are odd and don't line up from the puzzle to the image. Feels like Ai was thrown at a nonogram generator and didn't actually get any testing.
Words can't express how awful this game was. As a huge fan of nonograms, this was a very disappointing experience. But first, let me explain what makes this so damn unberable to play...
Point 1 - Visuals.
Literally the easiest step, and this game ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up SO badly. There are are many visual bugs such as boxes being shadowed despite not having your cursor over there, or details like having your mouse hovering a tile will make said tile "invisible", aka you don't know if it's a cross, filled or none. I played it entirely with mouse, and god the controls plus the visuals were an awful combination. Which brings to the second point!
Point 2 - Worst gameplay EVER.
How can they ♥♥♥♥ up a simple nonogram game? Well, that is very easy: everything you do automatically overwrites tiles even if you already went there or if it was filled. Say, you have a cross nearby, and there's a big area where you can fill in. Too bad, if you try to do what I think you might attempt, you are going to "disable" the cross AND along it, if you step on a tile you filled, it's going to revert back to being empty. Yup, that's pretty much annoying.
Point 3 - Endless mode is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
The idea is OK, but the execution is less than poorly. Most, if not all of the time, the nonogram doesn't even feel slightly similar to the image you see in the browse menu. There are also times where it generates a puzzle so awful it could feel overwhelming to the point of having almost no solution other than guessing. 15x15 puzzles took me the most time because it left you with a small are you could theorically fill but even if every number is CROSSED you won't finish the image until it's exactly the same solution it originally created. Now, why the hell would you make more than one available solution yet only one makes it so you end the puzzle, huh?
Overall - Better no engage with it.
Seriously, the combination of bad points plus all the amazing alternatives you have makes this game look even worse than garbage. I don't like sounding harsh towards developers, but god this was REALLY bad, genuinely bad. If you want an actual good nonogram game that's around same price as this one: Proverbs is amazing (and more of a minesweeper combination with picross, very well done though), Squeakross is triple the price of this but has way more content, good visuals and overall feels fun to play; Logiart Grimoire is also quite expensive and I'd say that Squeakross is better but it's still a neat game. Literally, you have lot of options more worth your time than this. There are no excuses.
I'm fairly new to picross so maybe I'm missing something, but I'm enjoying the game and think it's worth what I paid, so I'm happy :)
This is a bad version of this style puzzle game. The levels are boring and sometimes require guessing as the solutions aren't unique. The controls are rubbish as well since drawing over a complete square wipes that square. I wouldn't play this one even if it was free.
A friend had a free key and gave it to me, I feel like we were both ripped off. I love nonograms and this game is abysmal. I'll probably finish it to get the rest of the achievements but the game isn't enjoyable at all. Maybe if the images actually matched the puzzle, but everything is randomized by AI and nothing looks right.
Janky, controls aren't great. Puzzles are probably the worst I've seen looking like the art. Cool concept but not worth paying for.
