5/10 Draw shapes in layers to match the target pattern. What is it: A logic game in which you draw shapes by connecting neighboring pegs. Depending on how many pegs you used in the shape, you get one of 3 possible colors: wavy red/green for 3 or 6 pegs, dark purple with oval blue for 4 or 8 pegs, and lilac with pink dots for 5 or 7 pegs. You can draw on top of another shape too, so if you see a small lilac triangle, it means that it was once a part of a bigger shape that's been covered up. Each level has a goal image that you must reproduce, ideally in the least number of steps possible. This simple mechanic leads to some interesting puzzles, and although it starts with a bunch of trivial levels, it can get quite complex. Other than the main levels, the game also has daily levels, custom level editor, and an infinite random puzzle generator. Great! A simple mechanic that is simple to understand, good for wasting some time. This makes a good proof of concept, but the game seems rushed out the door still at the prototyping stage. The UI looks too basic. There are no keyboard controls at all (not even Esc to pause or quit). The tutorial got me more confused than enlightened. The campaign levels are too few, and there are no incentives for playing the other game modes. There are no leaderboards, no workshop integration for those custom levels. Only a few settings, and they don't even work properly. How hard is it: Easy. Too many of the levels are trivial (draw 1 shape!), and when it starts to get interesting, it's all over. Some of the daily levels are actually a lot more challenging than anything in the campaign. How long is it: 69 campaign levels which can be finished in a couple of hours, daily levels, timed races, and infinite random puzzle generator. Level design: Basic. Quality: Not good enough. Cloud saving and unlimited undo/redo are the redeeming features, but the game needs a lot of polishing. This reminds me most of another recent game, Liquidum, which is doing a much better job: levels are regularly being added, dailies and weeklies have proper leaderboards, proper workshop integration, and active devs that listen and respond to feedback. Worth the price: Not at the moment, but if the game gets more levels and a proper incentive to do the dailies and the timed races, yes. Most positive aspect for me: Simple mechanics that could lead to interesting puzzles. Most negative aspect for me: Much too short and easy. What would make it better: More levels! Leaderboards and workshop integration. Keyboard controls. Better colors for the shapes. Polishing the UI. Keyboard and controller support, at least some shortcuts for undo/redo/restart/next/quit/. Dark mode. Clearer tutorial. Also consider: Shatris, fill in a shape using brushes of different patterns. LYNE, hard line-drawing game. Strata, layering ribbons of paper to achieve the target image.
cute short puzzle game, I guess, not the best not the worst
Very simple game that quickly gets difficult. It's great for critical thinking and problem solving.
nice little thing, i finished all the levels, got all par, except 8 of them where i was able to go under par!
