"Piano at 5 a.m." is a short text adventure game. A girl who is the main character wanders in a fog forest while adjusting the four factors of "drowsiness," "thirst," "madness," and "recharge," which increase or decrease depending on the choices she makes.

Art top-tier, but the story is way too disjointed, even by stream-of-consciousness standards. You're just handed a super vague plot and two halfbaked characters, making it really hard to get invested before it abruptly ends, it feels more like an experimental project. Also, Endings 2 and 3 make zero sense, major deus ex machina vibes.
Expectation: Alice in Wonderland but in the fog, featuring a protag who just really loves the foggy aesthetic. Reality: A V-liver simp fantasizing over a picture book about the VTuber's IRL persona, and surprise... the girl is actually into ossan. The script explicitly drops the word "romance," but there's absolutely zero emotional buildup. The only way I can justify this is by assuming it's a deliberate stylistic choice, like their universe, values, and even the literal meaning of words are just completely alien to ours.
Ending Guide:

Ending 1: Picture Book
Ending 2: Picture Book + Library Card
Ending 3: Only Library Card or neither
Tip: If you accidentally pick up an extra key item and screw up your ending route, just hit "Continue" and use items you find later on to overwrite the key items in your inventory. Highly recommend doing your first playthrough on chill difficulty, then swapping to story mode when grinding out the other endings. Most of the dialogue choices are literally just random RNG combos and don't give you any actual lore or info anyway.

Reviews: 3/10
