About
Physics Cake is a 2-D physics simulation game where you can draw containers, objects, or anything you want really and put whatever chosen physical object you want inside of it. All the objects have different interactions that are designed to be fun and entertaining.
Physics Cake is similar to old “sand-like” games you would find online many years ago.
Physics Cake is designed to be fun and entertaining, like paint, but with basic physics.
You can also save your creations and simulations. You can easily share your simulations with anyone else by sharing your saved text files with them. Physics Cake supports steam cloud, so anything you have saved will be backed up to steam automatically when you exit the game. This way you can keep your creations across devices.
The game is easy to start and has built-in help descriptions for all the objects and basic functions by clicking the ? Or ?2 buttons in the game.
Physics Cake is always open to add user suggestions so if you pick up a copy please feel free to create a discussion thread with your input. Our general goal was to make a fun open 2-D simulation game that can be entertaining for minutes or for hours. Physics cake has had multiple content updates since its release and we plan to come back to it occasionally and add even more content. Physics cake is also steam deck compatible with steam inputs.
Below is a list of all the objects currently in the game (objects are able to be re-arranged after spawning by right-clicking and dragging the object as wanted):
None: nothing spawned on click (default)
Delete: A red crossed through circle that deletes anything you touch with it.
Line: A solid line to draw things with, or make containers.
Water: A liquid ball of water.
Oil: A liquid glob of oil.
Steam: Quick rising steam that evaporates.
Fire: It burns things, duh!
Wood: Woodblocks that act similarly to the line (wood can be affected by other objects life fire).
Jello: Wiggly, jiggly jelly, bouncy, and expandable.
Spinner-R: Spins to the right like a singular fan blade.
Spinner-L: Spins to the left like a singular fan blade
Void: A tiny black hole, anything sucked into it is deleted automatically.
Clack: Clacker balls that are pinned to the spawn area
Grass: Grass, can be watered to be grown.
Ice: Cubes of ice that freeze things and jiggle like real ice cubes.
Water-SP: Endlessly spawns water objects from the chosen location.
Ice-SP: Endlessly spawns ice objects from the chosen location.
Oil-SP: Endlessly spawns oil objects from the chosen location.
Jello-SP: Endlessly spawns jello objects from the chosen location.
Steam-SP: Endlessly spawns steam objects from the chosen location.
E-SP: Endlessly spawns electron objects.
Sand-SP: Endlessly spawns sand objects.
Kill Line: The standard object, but any physical objects that touch it are removed on contact.
Pulley: Two connected weights that make up a pulley system.
Sticky: Sticks to other physical objects. (limited to 400 instances on screen at once)
COLORED L BUTTONS: Produces the LINE object in the chosen color.
Etron: Short for electron. Bounces randomly at high velocity. Not affected by void, wood, or ice, and can electrify objects on contact.
Drag u: Drags any physical objects upwards that are below it.
Fire-SP: Endlessly spawns fire objects above it.
Kill Line: The standard object, but any physical objects that touch it are removed on contact.
Ball: The clacker ball object, but unpinned so it can move around freely.
Stick: A little stick figure man (limit one). Try not to set him on fire… You monster…
Sand: It’s EVERYWHERE
Portal In: Anything that goes in the in portal will come out of the out portal. (limit 1)
Portal Out: Things that go in the in portal will come out of this one. (limit 1)
Marshmallow: A squishy marshmallow line object.
Ethanol: Liquid ethanol, burns easily.
Oxygen: Oxygen in gas form. Bounces around the room and rises to the top.
Hydrogen: Hydrogen in gas form. Bounces around the room and rises to the top. Highly combustible.
Rock: That's not a boulder, it's a rock, a big heavy rock.
Chlorine: Chlorine gas. Rises to the top of the room.
Sodium: Sodium plus water goes boom. Sodium interacts with a bunch of things.
Uranium: Uranium is radioactive and will give off radioactive particles.
Chlorine-SP: Endlessly spawns chlorine objects from the chosen location.
Hydrogen-SP: Endlessly spawns hydrogen objects from the chosen location.
Oxygen-SP: Endlessly spawns hydrogen objects from the chosen location.
Ethanol-SP: Endlessly spans ethanol objects from the chosen location.
Ash: Crumbly dark ash.
Gold: Gold bars, use them to crush things.
Lava: Molten hot lava that burns stuff.
Blob: Anything that touches the blob becomes the blob.
Cake: A slice of cake. It's not a lie!
Nanite: Warping self replicating nanomachines. Limit of 400 per sandboxes. Nanomachines son!
There are also a bunch of hidden objects you can only get through combining things!
You can also alter the gravity of the simulation at any time you wish.

This game has limitless potential however, It is currently the "powder" game with less options. I suggest that the devs add more elements and focus on realistic interactions to broaden the users experience. Also, the achievements are beyond annoying, there is seriously an achievement for everything. As of 12/23/2020, I rate the game 4/10 and do not recommend it at this time.
Its a good little physics simulator game. Very fun and enjoyable to mess around in. It has some unique quirks like the stick figure and its interactions. Its simple but perfectly cromulent.
I was just checking to see what it does and its fun. If you are bored give it a try.
I'm probably one of the few that's least qualified to talk about this sorta game since I very rarely dabble in physics type games, but I will try regardless! Physics Cake is pretty straight forward little game, even a simpleton like me was able to get the handle of things pretty quickly. I found the UI easy to read and the help feature easy to access. Although I'm not nearly creative enough to use this game to it's maximum potential I can see myself coming back to this game just to mess around and unwind. Overall I do recommend giving it a shot! It is always a good change of pace to try something different if you are like me, and I do believe there is something to like even for those who like to mess with physics!
Fun toy to play around with physics in. Still beta, managed to crash it with wayyyyy too many things, but honestly it's pretty mesmerizing to just set up a machine and watch things bounce around.
Physics cake is a wonderfull physic engine type of game. I have played the game for a few hours now and enjoyed every minute of that experience. The many achievements was a huge plus for me given the fact that i am an achievement hunter. I personal kinda wish there were more (variety of item types to interact with on the screen; However given the scope of the game and its intentions, my request ( is selfish and nitpicky at best). Now that i am thinking about it i would have liked to seen a cake item buried somewhere in the game , even if didnt "functional properly". (*given fact that the game involves cake in the name). Overall great game and should be added to your collection today
its a fun physics game that allows you to have different interactions, personally i love making a flame maze that burns after the oil fills it up lol and i have been using the void to lead objects through! i enjoyed it alot
I put the stick figure in water and the only way for him to not drown was to eat jello until all the water was absorbed and gone. Also he threw up. 10/10
Une "appli" pas terminée du tout. Pleins de lag, les bandes de feu ne fonctionnent pas, impossible d'écrire, les Saves disparaissent toutes seules.. Bonne idée mais trop loin d'être finie.
A very simple, maybe at times a bit janky, physics engine. It has more options then most games that cost 8$ and is decently fun if you are bored and want to just set things on fire or watch things collide or spin. Worth my gumball money any day, 10/10.
