Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.29/day in the week to Aug 29 → 7.57/day in the week after.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.5/day in the week to Jul 19 → 7.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Welcome to Phonopolis.
A new puzzle adventure hand-crafted by Amanita Design, the studio behind Machinarium, Creaks, Samorost and more.
In the dystopian city of Phonopolis, life is orchestrated by omnipresent loudspeakers that dictate every aspect of people’s existence. Citizens, bound by the authoritarian Leader's commands, work in unison to achieve his grand vision. Soon, the Absolute Tone—a tone so strong that it would strip every citizen of their humanity forever—will be heard…
By coincidence or perhaps by fate, young dustman Felix becomes the only per son to consciously recognize the threat. Now, he must try to stop the Leader from indefinitely making every citizen a mindless servant. Loosely inspired by the works of Karel Čapek and George Orwell, the story of Phonopolis explores themes of social manipulation and individualism, but keeps the overall experience playful and light-hearted.
With Felix becoming immune to the commands, you’ll be able to take advantage of the loudspeakers and use them to solve puzzles involving other characters. Other times, you will interact with the cardboard environment in surprising, often unexpected ways—turn walls, shuffle floors, control various machinery or tear paper curtains. Each puzzle is carefully integrated into the world and presents a different challenge.
Metaphorically referring to the utopian, totalitarian model of society, Phonopolis is a city built of actual cardboard. Capturing the nostalgic charm of classic stop-motion films, every piece of any building, every character, and every frame of any smoke or flame is hand-painted on a piece of paper, then digitized for use in the game’s 3D world.
The art style is strongly influenced by avant-garde artistic trends of the interwar period such as constructivism, futurism, and suprematism, and their societal impact as a tool of propaganda. The distinct visuals come to life with music from Tomáš Dvořák aka Floex, composer of soundtracks for Machinarium and Samorost 3.

В гри дуже крутий візуал. Непогана наївна історія. Пазли в основному добре зроблені, але деякі ну прям дуже рандомні і просто потрібно рандомно підбирати комбінації дій. Як на мене це єдиний мінус цієї гри

I thought a game based on Futurism would have a bit more to say so ultimately found the game a bit of a hollow experience. It's very pretty though and the papercraft/stop motion is lovely. Also the main character is the whiniest lil nerd I choose to believe he died in the prison. Kind of like in Wolfenstein 2 how after a certain point everything is going too well and it starts to feel like an imagined dream occurring split seconds into BJs death you all know exactly what I mean.
I expect a very "Amanita" experience when this studio releases, and Phonopolis for me delivered in tons. It is an exploration adventure, that is a work of visual and auditory art in itself, with clever puzzles. The story may seem "simple", kind of like how Machinarium was a "fairly simple story plot". The story may be familiar in a way, but what truly sets this "version of that story" apart is how the studio treats its storytelling in general. The world is so conceptually imaginative and we are given just enough lore to understand what is happening to this strange city, but not too much, so we don't focus on it and instead enjoy the sights and incredible machines! The art is stunning, the whole city feels like a giant puzzlebox, the music of Floex is impossible to resist. I was very immerced throughout. I especially liked how the solutions to some of the puzzles were so creative i was laughing, pure joy. The best puzzle for me was the water performance. Amanita has another very short game that is a musical "pop-up" exploration adventure, but in Phonopolis they took it to another level. Short game, but I was I was surprised to see I didn't even get half of the achievments, so that's one more playthrough for me. I plan to take my time enjoying the music and the details. Thank you Amanita team for this game and for all your hard work.
Beautifully made in every single aspect. Important for our current time.
流程偏短,解密没什么意思,很多纯靠匹配和猜。 与其说是玩游戏,不如说是在看他讲故事。 如果你是想玩解密来的,建议等骨折,或者右转机械迷城。
