About
Phantoms is a first-person horror game that takes place on a strange train. You're on route to see your old friend Floyd, but all of a sudden, you sense something's not quite right. What was a simple, relaxing train ride mere moments ago, transforms into a hunting ground in a blink of an eye... and you're the prey.
The game takes inspiration from retro PlayStation™ graphics and aesthetics, combined with analogue horror and a hint of eldritch mystery. No two levels ever play the same as the layout of the train, and the items you need to collect, are randomized every time. Phantoms offers five story levels (the final one being hidden in conjunction with the secret ending), a custom level mode and two potential endings to the story.

The game is awesome but level 4 is just impossible. I need to finish it and i don't care how many hours i have to put in.
Didn't like it. Got it for free and still felt robbed.
Certainly a neat idea, but a game seemingly designed to annoy or even infuriate the player.
AVOID IT . I had high hopes for the game. For Levels 1-3 i can say that the game is normal up to VERY HARD . Level 4 is just unfair .I try for 1 hour straight to pass this level to watch the F...... ending. I dont want to even imagine the secret level . Total RNG even for the deaths. I reallybelieve that the devs put that smiley face to taunt and ragebait us . If you want to gamble then this game is for you. For me ..... it's gonna be a phantom of the past .
Got the game for free and while it looks pretty cool its nothing but cheap scares and random deaths, by night 4 you cant even wait for the conductpr to pass else you die in under 2 seconds. I had hoped it would be more fun but couldnt enjoy it
If I had to describe this game in 2 words, I would call it [Rage Simulator]. I would say this review is close to a neutral than a yes. The game has good looking nostalgic graphics, from the low poly playstation era which provides some Silent Hill vibes. The game loop is basic HOWEVER that level 4? How is that even possible to finish? I'm not sure if the game was designed to be this annoying but barely giving a second to breathe without dying is super annoying. Level 3 is already challenging , but level 4 is barely possible to beat! You move, you die! You stop, you die! It's like playing Russian roulette with 6 bullets inside of it! Apart from this , the game is a good experience... except that nasty level 4! So if you like to rage on super hard challenges like the last level, this is your game!
Phantoms is basically silent hill visuals on a train. You start out in a gray world and interact with a broken electrical box, then the world turns to rust. The sound design, visuals, and story are all well done and interesting, but the downfall is actually playing it. You have to move from room to room avoiding a person / creature that can teleport at any moment, sometimes inside of you if you are in the main hall. You also cannot stay inside of the "safe rooms" for very long before you instantly die, with the amount of time the room is "safe" decreasing each level. By the 3rd level it feels like you have mere seconds, but there were countless times where I was trapped inside of a room because the creature would stop in front of the door and simply not move. There were numerous times where I would follow the creature down the hall, but he would vanish and instantly kill me by teleporting behind me or inside of me. While I appreciate the visuals, story, and sound design, I cannot recommend this game based on how not fun and bad this felt to actually play.
Im actually too scared to play through it further. That means this is a good game. Very cool Dev too btw
I saw i was approved for this game, then i played it today on Halloween in a pitch black room, and was super creeped out, great game if you want a general creepy game plus the guards who "patrol" are creepy.
