Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Imagine someone who took a game development course on Unreal Engine and made this game. Everything about this game is bad. It's not even worth a dollar.
Good story, was surprised that there were vehicles in the game. Well Above average amount of weapons. Wish they introduced the cool ones sooner but that's a problem with all shooters. Some good boss fights, Could be lengthier. Some levels need waypoints or a map. 8 / 10 as a boomer shooter.

I'm torn in giving a score to this review. On one hand this is a top notch boomer shooter in all the essence that it needs to be. The gunplay is crunchy, punchy and has weight, the story is cool, everything in this game is great except for in more than just a few instances your left wondering WTF you have to do to progress. The game does a poor job sometimes in letting you know what items you need to interact with, they certainly dont look like anything special or out of place lol, you finally figure it out but not after youve burnt time trying to figure it out, too much time. That said its not a bad game, quite the contrary. This game is an extremely well made shooter and when its firing on all cylinders its F'ing fun and immersive. It does not deserve the hate that its got - Hopefully the devs make a sequel to this game or another game in the ION FURY universe. I really enjoyed my time with this title. Final Score: 8.5 / 10 - If you like UBER VIOLENT and BRUTAL SHOOTERS you'll be right at home here !
Janky, runs a little rough- but not in a way that keeps it from being fun. Wait for a sale and go in with the right expectations, but I don't skip it all together if you loved the first one.
Wow, absolutely not what I expected at all. The gunplay just feels so extremely bland, Like chicken with salt and pepper bland. Fine, and you don't complain, but you wish there was some Cajun spice or some BBQ Sauce laying around so you could have some more flavor. Inoffensive at the price currently offered on sale [Was $6.24 until July 9th as of this "review"] But I just couldn't force myself to continue with it. I love old school style games, But this game is just not it at all, It's boring, and I couldn't force myself to play more than 30 minutes of it. If it's at full price, don't even bother, everything you heard was true about it. At this sale price, give it a go and see if you like it. If you want a really good old school style shooter, play Nightmare Reaper, It's also on sale and it offers so much more than you could possibly imagine.
Did you love Ion Fury and Aftershock? Are you looking for the same type of gameplay? If you answered yes, close this page and never consider buying Phantom Fury again. Are you looking for a vaguely Halflife-esque FPS that’s janky and feels like an Xbox 360 game? If so, then Phantom Fury might be for you. As you can see from the playtime I enjoyed Phantom Fury and 100% achieved the game despite its lack of polish, bugs and flaws. And believe me, there are many flaws. Sure, Shelly is here, but this game was made by an entirely different set of developers and is only loosely recognizable as an entry in the series. It clearly needed more development time but they pushed it out anyways and said nah were good, just ship it. The enemy AI is some of the worst I’ve seen in a game. And this was released in 2024! To give a few examples:

Sometimes enemies will just stare at you and not attack.
Enemies will take cover behind a barrier, only to leap over it for no reason exposing themselves so you can easily blow them away.
Enemies are affected by friendly fire, so frequently they will damage each other with gunfire, grenades or thrown projectiles.
Drones turn into timed mines when you kill them but enemies don’t notice. They will stand right on top of a dead drone just for it to blow them to pieces
During the first vehicle level a GDF soldier tried to melee my Jeep for a full minute. It did nothing. Maybe use the gun in your hand instead? On my second play through on Hard difficulty, one of the final bosses glitched and was stuck in place, making the penultimate fight trivial. I ran into many other bugs as well, some benign and others game breaking. Like arriving at the Chicago level and discovering all my weapons had disappeared and being forced to play the previous level over again from an older save. Or losing previously obtained weapon upgrades after dying. I found it difficult at times to figure out where to go next. Even on my second play through I was getting lost on multiple levels. There is no quick saving, only check points, and they are not very generous. The story is weak, the voice acting average and the ending was uninspired and unsatisfying. I could nitpick even further, like how many weapon “upgrades” are actually downgrades or how the game lazily spoils story elements with achievements but you get the point. Buy it on steep discount and go into the game with tempered expectations knowing it’s a mediocre experience but fun can be had, just prepare to be frustrated on your way there.
