Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 4 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I played in 1995, wanted to re-live the experience. The game was fantastic, just as I remembered. However, when I got to the final chapter; the game froze. My only option was to re-play it. I did not want to re-start all over; as i was to the end. So, just so disappointed this happened. I wanted to continue on and play puzzle of flesh. I can not explain how disappointed I was that I had gotten to the end and the game froze. I would honestly like a refund.. especially how I was so excited to re-live a great reminder from my childhood i would suggest do not waste your time. I also had to start the game over three other times from it freezing up. I completely understand we played it on disc However at the finale, it trying to make me re-start... i was done... Just like Don uuugh

An FMV classic from Sierra. When I was a kid I wanted to play this so badly, but wasn't able to since I didn't have a PC that could run it at the time. Years later I finally remembered to play it and bought it on GoG. For whatever reason my copy stopped working there, so I came to Steam to repurchase it. I haven't had any issues with the Steam version. The game follows Adrienne Delaney as she and her husband Don buy an old mansion that is supposedly haunted. Over the course of several chapters the story unfolds and you learn about the events that take place here. The gameplay is simple enough with the typical point and click interface of most Sierra games post-EGA parcer days. You do have an inventory and can examine each item. Most items don't need looked at closely, but there is one in particular you will need to look at to advance the story. Like many other Sierra games, there is a point where you can actually lock yourself out from progressing the story and having to start over. There is only one instance with this, but be warned. Unfortunately you can only have one save per game plus the bookmark, so it's hard to tell where you will run into trouble if you haven't played before. The saving grace to this is you can do a chapter select at any point and begin play from that chapter all over. I am not sure if that was an option when the game first released or if that was added many years later, but it's a nice to have if you accidentally lock yourself out of winning at that one point. The characters are likeable and the story lore is interesting. Aside from the limited technology we had back in the day, I think this game holds up very well to this day. It's probably my favorite FMV game of all time, and it is well worth a playthrough if you're a Sierra and/or horror fan. I have been playing it once a year around Halloween for quite a few years now. Give it a try.
Roberta Williams had major ambition with this title. I remember playing it on my old Packard Bell. It is very stylistic - overuse of CG furniture - but its a fun type of gaudy. The story plays out straightforward but the real fun is the mixing of Sierra "adventurism" and graphic capabilities. Ultimately I'm not sure if it works. But it's charming enough to get me to go back and explore it's mansion every few years.
the audio is so crunchy its hard to make out sometimes but the vibes are off the charts
my mom told me this made her and my dad ♥♥♥♥ themselfes out of fear in the 90s. i didnt quite ♥♥♥♥ myself but it was really good still! 👍
Game is a classic. This has everything to satisfy cheesy horror fans. Gore, entertaining and spooky story, excellent atmospherics, good characterisation and corny acting. This was ground breaking, back in 1995 and honestly still holds up well for what it sets out to achieve to this day. Highly recommend playing this game with the lights out for maximum spookiness. A brilliant FMV / point and click horror experience that is a must for any retro gaming fan. Plus the closing credits song is perfection.
Build up is incredibly slow with there is almost no pay off, boringly predictable plot, and insufferable cast. It feels more like a tech demo than an actual game. Having come to check this out after playing Harvester first, it was definitely a let down.
