Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 8 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I was hoping that this was going to be done like the Bard's Tale remastering. This one contains all three games, but each is done in different formats. Phantasie II doesn't even seem playable to me. It's almost a text adventure. This whole endeavor was sloppy and disappointing. I'm still waiting for a remastered version, especially one that improves on some of the clunky elements of the original.
Retro ciekawostki z DOSboxa. :)

Древнее зло.
I've played Phantasie I and II up to now and I really liked both. For all the people that complain that the wrong versions (DOS, Apple II) were included in the pack: I think the versions with the best controls have been used here. I've tried Phantasie I on the C64 emulator and couldn't go past the character generation because you cannot simply reroll a bad character generation. If you want to spend a couple of hours generating characters, go forward - or play a version that supports better keyboard bindings to speed this up, like the DOS or Apple II version. Regarding Phantasie II: I tried the Atari ST version which a number of people claim was the best version. The problem is the same: Character generation - cumbersome. Take a night encounter: All your characters are on parry when they awake and merely 15 mouse clicks later I start a single battle round of which you do thousands in the game. And the mouse control isn't as great as it is today but rather shabby. In the Apple II version, this works much better using the keyboard. It may be that the Amiga version (at least of Phantasie III) would have been indeed better though I have not taken a look at the Phantasie III DOS version yet. At least I remember the Amiga version from my childhood as a great game with good controls, but I have to test if it stood the test of time. To make the Apple II version better playable, there are some hints in the discussion forum on how to tweak the emulater speed and keyboard controls. Regarding the difficulty level of Phantasie I: In the DOS version battles were deemed as being too simple in contrast to the C64 version. This might be true, but the DOS version strikes me as being very similar to the Apple II version which is the original version. If you want a harder game, play Phantasie II. The second half of the game gets a lot harder :-)
