Very fun little game. I just got all achievements and I had a blast! I played thru the whole Demo before the game came out and I also had fun. If you played the demo the full game is even better and harder. I found the demo easy IMO but the full game is challenging in some parts if you are an achievement hunter. creative and all around fun little game!
Great shooter with cats definitely worth the purchase. 10/10
非常好玩的猫猫弹幕射击游戏,使我的耳朵完美怀孕XD
Pet the Cat is one of those indie releases that thrives on an idea so simple and bizarre that it immediately captures attention. Developed by MEWSTURBO and published by TurboCat Software, the game takes the universally appreciated act of petting a cat and builds an entire action experience around it. Rather than controlling a heavily armed hero or commanding an army of companions, players spend their time showering affection on a feline friend while surviving relentless enemy assaults. The result is a lighthearted bullet-heaven adventure that manages to stand apart from many of its genre contemporaries through sheer personality and commitment to its premise. At its core, the game revolves around an unconventional control scheme. Players actively pet their cat companion with the mouse, and each interaction unleashes attacks against incoming enemies. It is an amusing mechanic that initially feels like a joke, but it quickly proves to be surprisingly effective. There is a satisfying rhythm to maintaining your offense while weaving through increasingly chaotic enemy patterns. Unlike many arena survival games that eventually lean into passive gameplay, Pet the Cat keeps players engaged from beginning to end. The constant motion adds an extra layer of involvement, though extended sessions may leave some players wishing for occasional breaks due to the repetitive hand movement. The game's presentation perfectly supports its playful identity. Bright environments, charming animations, and expressive character designs give Pet the Cat a welcoming atmosphere that contrasts nicely with the intensity of its combat. Watching a cute cat become the center of a battlefield filled with explosions and projectiles never loses its novelty. The visual clarity is particularly commendable, as enemy attacks remain readable even when the screen becomes crowded. Complementing the visuals is an upbeat soundtrack that reinforces the game's whimsical tone and helps maintain an enjoyable pace throughout each run. Progression plays a significant role in keeping the experience fresh. As players advance, they gain access to a variety of foods, items, talents, and weapon upgrades that significantly alter how each run unfolds. Experimenting with different combinations is one of the game's greatest strengths, encouraging players to return and discover new strategies. Some builds focus on overwhelming firepower, while others emphasize survivability or utility. Although the overall depth does not reach the heights of the biggest names in the roguelite genre, there is more than enough variety to support multiple playthroughs without making the systems overly complicated. Another noteworthy aspect is the developer's apparent dedication to improving the game after launch. Early updates have addressed balancing concerns and quality-of-life issues, demonstrating a willingness to listen to player feedback. This level of support is particularly important for smaller indie titles, as it suggests that Pet the Cat will continue to evolve over time. The foundation is already solid, and additional content or balancing adjustments could further elevate the experience in the months ahead. Ultimately, Pet the Cat succeeds because it never tries to be anything other than an entertaining and charming action game built around an unusual concept. It embraces its absurdity with confidence and delivers a polished experience that is easy to pick up and difficult to put down. While some players may find the repetitive physical input and modest long-term depth limiting, the game's originality, accessible gameplay loop, and undeniable charm make it a worthwhile addition to the growing library of indie roguelites. It is a reminder that sometimes the best ideas are also the simplest: give players a cat to pet, and they will gladly spend hours doing exactly that. Rating: 8/10
