About
it’s so easy to tell the truth.
doesn’t something in your gut want more of a challenge?

perfect liar is a modern juke-em-up.
you squeeze the dice roll of a roguelike into the finesse of a bullet hell
and you speedrun through it like the world will end if you’re caught.

collect map tiles to chart your path through the liar's maze while simultaneously dodging your way through a web of increasingly menacing angelic foes; think on your feet and make your own luck from the draw to score record times, or plow ahead cautiously taking down each stage as it comes. collect powerups, study patterns of movement, die endlessly—and come back each time ready for more. test your wits with a unique 'dodging only' mechanic through a stark hand-drawn world, overcoming 18 grueling untruths to nerve-wracking electronic blast beats.
you know in old cartoons when the train tracks suddenly end and the character has to start nailing boards down ahead of them at lightning speed as they hurtle along?
you know in games when you die but you know next time you won’t, next time you could be a little faster and a little better, and you see yourself stretch past your limits and discover new ones?
you know in real life when each detail complicates things a little more and you’ve got no choice but to keep digging yourself a deeper hole and hope you’ll reach the other side before it caves in?
…it’s kind of like that. push yourself to the limits, discovering sly secrets and clever complications, and emerge on the far side changed forever. is this easy for you? were you born to do this? do you have what it takes to become the perfect liar?

Really enjoy this! It's a clever roguelike with a very charming art style. The mechanics are really interesting, and get you thinking ahead more than I expected. It's straightforward enough at first, and then things quickly ramp up. Highly recommend you check it out.
I randomly stumbled across the game and I highly recommend it! It's the perfect mix of challenging and rewarding where you collect tiles you then have to lay down. So it feels like a mix of a roguelite with puzzle elements. It also means that every time you play is a unique experience. Plus the artwork style is very distinctive.
