A friend directed me to this with a bunch of other FTP games. They had not played it. Well it's not FREE TO PLAY. It's Pay to win. I started playing. The story was kinda stupid but most of them are so I was overlooking it. I kept getting pushed to buy things but I was doing so well I really just kept playing and playing and getting points on my own. Yes, it was slower but It was kinda fun. So I kept playing and I had a 13 game streak going and It was almost bedtime so I went to close the game. A notice saying something about I would lose my streak if I quit. Say WHUT???? That was it. Pass time game, puzzle, Match 3, physics, adventure. PLOT Kaia is a mermaid who lives in the "Cove of Memories" which was once the hidden city of Atlandide. But unfortunately this beautiful and mythical city lies in ruins. We must help this brave Siren together with her helper Nauty to bring back the ancient city to the splendor of the past. While we restore statues, explore caves, decorate galleries we are lucky enough to discover hidden secrets of the glorious city. PLAYABILITY The aim of the game is to match 3 or more pearls of the same colour, it will not be necessary to eliminate all the pearls but we must collect the ones that have the magic pendants. Each level we complete allows us to collect a star, these stars are used to help Kaia progress through the story. We need to be careful when we drop the pearls because depending on the obstacles they encounter they will behave following the law of physics. There are special events, and daily challenges that we can choose to play if we want to test our skills, they are fun and challenging. We also collect materials: wood, stones, bricks, gems; they will be used to build objects to decorate our Bay. The music is pleasant to listen to while we are busy collecting pearls. I recommend this Match 3, I found it fun, it allows you to complete different levels even without spending money, I get everything I need just by playing. If it weren't for the dark-pattern, manipulative monetization, it would be decent. - Limited play (can only play so many levels before paying) - A lot of monetization attempts around/outside of gameplay too - Numerous dark-pattern manipulation like artificial scarcity, sunken cost with arbitrary winning streaks, unlocks, points, and coinage, etc

Match-3 game is fine, but it's set up for the worst kind of abusive monetization. If you're a skilled player, you can avoid it all for the most part, but be prepared to spend a lot of money (or time waiting) if you have any trouble clearing early levels. Story is dumb and would be completely skippable except that it gives you rewards that allow you to continue playing. The main test of skill will be your ability to bounce some of the pearls off of obstacles to get them into awkward areas. Most of my losses came down to needing specific colors to proceed, but then getting some other color to play ten times in a row.
If this game, say, allowed me to just give them money to turn it into a standard game, with no energy system, I would be very positive on this. If this game had not begun to reuse boards and missions so blatantly by round ~300, when it promises me over 1000, and yet I'm already beginning to recognize identical missions but with tighter limits which just waste my playtime, I would be more positive on this. If this hewed closer to the very player-friendly prior games from the developer in this vein, League of Mermaids and/or Atlantis: Pearls of the Deep, both available on Steam and which GIVE YOU THE ABILITY TO JUST PLAY THE BLOODY GAME, which I will continue to keep installed after this gets deleted shortly because they each have good infinite modes once you've cleared all the created content... I would say give it a try. But this is a weird mobile game that's wearing the skin of a series I was very fond of, and I warn you to stay away. There is nothing down here in these trenches for you, top-sider. Get out of this ocean immediately.

I might play this here and there casually from writing this review but i did my own research and here is what i found. This is a mobile version with a more colorful look of the same game published by Legacy Games back in 2012 under the title "Atlantis: Pearls of the Deep". This is pretty much your typical mobile/facebook nonsense of waiting for time to pass so you can play more. The gameplay is fun but i don't like waiting around and you can tell by the art everything was made more cartoony or made to fit this garbage mobile theme from what i can tell. I have not played "Atlantis: Pearls of the Deep" but i can tell that title would have been more fun then whatever this is. Just a way to get any small fan base back into this. I would suggest ignore this and move on. It's not worth any time to be honest and i have patience with these games so naturally i sat through most of it but the hour i did play ,it's something very bad due to how it's just a time sink of waiting around more then playing. If you played one mobile match 3 you played them all. They all have this awful waiting around mechanic which i hate. Just let me play for how much i want instead of waiting around just to play more,you could say your typical mobile nonsense.
