It’s a good game, the dev is very responsive to bug fixes. The progression of the story can at times be very confusing, especially on how to unlock certain things like crafting recipes and more animals. But overall it’s a very good game. I would recommend this if you like to play games that are by single person devs, and are still working through some of the issues. No wiki or online help for progression quests, but very helpful discord community.
Played this game for 4 hours straight and it’s really cute. It’s definitely caught my attention and the dev is active on discord and answered a question about a task I had on the game which was very nice. You start out with your farm that your character buys, there’s a bit of character customization, can’t change eye color but there’s color slider for hair and clothes and you can change your skin and gender and of course your name. You get to name your farm. The farming is nice and it gives it decent amount of stamina to get stuff done. You can make energy bars from loose forage that’s growing in town and on your farm. There’s fruit you can forage too. There’s crafting which uses a little bit of stamina. There’s mining, upgrading tools and your chests inventory, there’s ranching I haven’t got into yet but I saw coops and barn at shop. There’s relationships. I believe I saw dev in discord said the next thing they’ll add is babies I really hope so. And one thing that’s a bit different from other farming sims is there’s a quest board in front of town hall and there’s quests on it AND part time job posts. You go to that business and do a job for some decent coin. One of the part time jobs was delivering mail and after dev told me you gotta go to the mail boxes with a box icon not to the people it was fun running around delivering mail. Anyway i bought the game and supporter pack and I can already tell this is my cup of tea. I’m playing in on my steam deck with a controller and no issues so far 4 hours straight. Definitely check out the settings if you get this gem there’s nice accessibility options like turning off the penalty for staying up all night, and making days long. I passed out day 2 and it goes to the next day with full stamina and no pesky doctors fees from mining too long. In my opinion if you like farming sims this is a nice addition for anyone that loves that genre.
This is such a underrated gem! People should definitely try this game out! Having a ton of fun with this one and it is on par with Stardew and Fields of Mistria. Also; it plays very nice on the steamdeck!
I love this game! If I was going to make a cozy game, I'd do it very similar to this one. The quality of life is great, it's possible to make a good amount of money, but you still have to wait to progress to get things you need, which is the kind of progression I like in a game. I'm getting close to 20 hours and I feel like there's a ton left to do. Great game!
Was on the fence about this one, but right at the two hour mark, I saw a couple of awfully-implemented minigames. Your performance in one (the cashier job) is seemingly inconsequential, and the truly terrible fishing minigame can be bypassed altogether in the menu. But like, I'm playing a game because I want to play games. Letting me skip them because you couldn't be bothered to execute them well isn't good game design, it's laziness. I value my time more than I care to see what other mechanics the dev got wrong.
I was looking for a new farm sim but couldn’t get into any of them until Peaceful Days. It exceeded all my expectations and instantly had me hooked. Super satisfying loop, perfect pacing, and always something to do. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys cozy, goal-driven games!
I have really enjoyed playing this game! I love the part-time jobs that give perks for gameplay, and the puzzles in the mines. The progression is really nice too, i like that you need to progress the story to open up more things to do. Definitely passes the vibe check in my opinion! The NPC's don't have a lot of personality but that's not a huge must-have for me personally in these types of games (buidling up friendships always seems like a chore to me, but if that is your favourite part about farming sims, you probably won't like the NPC's that much in this game). I do think this is a hidden gem for sure!
