Um es kurz zu fassen: Zu viele Bugs in elementaren Funktionen. Besonders beim Bauen, man grindet sich die Finger blutig für die benötigten Rohstoffe, frickelt dann ein paar Stunden rum bis die Hütte so aussieht, wie sie soll und ein "Update" und einen Serverneustart später sieht das Ding aus, wie ein Schweizer Käse. Um dann die Lücken wieder zu füllen muss man dann auch oft andere Dinge abreißen, weil das Kollisionsmodell nicht konsistent ist oder man den Ort, an den man zum Platzieren klicken müsste, nicht mehr sehen kann. Bauen ist eine Kernkomponente dieses Spiels, wenn das nicht 100% funktioniert, ist es maximal im Beta und nicht Release.
I came for the crafting, and I'm pretty content with it! Very grindy, but if you don't mind that, I recommend it!
If you played Ultima Online and loved it, then Pax Dei will simply blow you away! My husband and I actually met in UO and here we are, 25 years later playing Pax Dei! It's a wonderful game, but it's not for people who need high adventure and lots of action.

This game has so much potential, with a solid base working towards greatness. It's fun, in depth and well worth it!
I enjoy Pax Dei for what it brings, It is nice to jump into a game and chill. Go out and gather all the things and build a hut and eventually a castle if that is what you want. It is not easy, but grinding can be fun now and then. If you are the type of gamer that likes to jump into a game and not have to think too much, because that is what you do all day at work or school. Then this is a game for that in one sense, the visuals are stunning especially if you can run them at max settings. I am an old school player starting from Everquest in my online journey. Games like this force us to slow down and take it all in, and to me this is a good thing!
