RPG Maker strikes again! PATHS OF VALOUR is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers. This is a painfully bad Chinese JRPG with an extremely generic plot, poor encounter design, sloppy skill design, and almost every asset is either from a character generator or asset flipped from RPG Maker. Kadokawa has done the gaming industry a huge disservice with RPG Maker. This game has been translated from Chinese into English... badly. If this was done through Google Translate, Google Translate should feel ashamed of itself. Regardless, the language in this game is broken and will put off a lot of gamers. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? PATHS OF VALOUR has the farcical price of around $4 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product. Just my first impressions of this game: The skilltree...it's OK even if you have little real choice...bothersome is that you hardly see the actuell highlighted skill....an frame around it would be nice. Just from the start I found not translated text. Why are the other party members asking you if they can join you? If you say no...they harass you until you agree. Also this is the most unlikely way to find members. This is one game I would give an neutral voting...alas Steam....so sorry can't recommend it.

《勇敢之路》是一款单人使用RPGMAKER MZ制作的回合制RPG，讲述的是天选勇者与小伙伴一起冒险打败大魔王的故事，游戏的内容看着还算丰富，但尚欠缺打磨稍显粗糙，比如开局如果养母自己趁着我们去钱罐拿钱的时候走到门口堵门，那基本就能重开了（她会堵在那里不走了），这并不是一个偶然的BUG，游戏里这样的BUG时长发生，剧情也偏短、战斗没加速功能，很是影响游戏体验，希望作者还是再加以打磨一番再出来发售更好一些。

故事很有９０年代JRPG風味，戰鬥平衡造得不錯，比現時不少大廠製作的JRPG遊戲好玩，唯一是物理攻擊命中率太低，有待改善。

太棒了......女勇者的设定我也很喜欢，魔法学院院长会叫我勇者妹妹欸！每个角色的立绘都狠狠戳到我，甚至还有换装系统......玩了五个小时不知道进度到哪了但是通关道具收集了2/7，应该能有十个小时的时长。这个价格真的是性价比拉满了好吧，十块钱还要啥自行车？要是你也喜欢老式rpg，那你肯定拒绝不了。

加个攻击加速吧，还有自动太弱智了，疯狂给你加血耗蓝，感觉也没有属性克制啥魔法伤害都差不多，蓝给你搞完就开始砍，最离谱的是敌人那可怕的回避率，简直了，玩起来难受的一批，勇者血量没法师僧侣高，攻击没盗贼高，这数值真的离谱，我血压高了，差评

很舒适的RPG游戏，画风很喜欢，地图也很简约明了，不是很复杂的。喜欢偷懒可以直接点一键指令，前期战斗无脑砍就行，就是勇者血量居然没有法师高，中规中矩的数值。
