Pathologic 2 is a groundbreaking open-world horror RPG. Resist the plague. Make medicine. Heal people. Perform an autopsy. Trade to get what you need. Fight and kill if necessary. Survive. Struggle with an outbreak in a secluded rural town that is rapidly turning into hell.

If a game was made by David Lynch, pure chaos and insanity
After beating Pathologic 1, I wasn't sure if I would like the second game, but it really is a perfected version of the first game. The story is way more in-depth and is semi-randomized, so every play will be slightly different. A major theme is inevitable loss, and the game is balanced toward that. What characters get infected or die is partially random, so even if you try to save them, they can die anyway. This can lock you out of certain quests or even what items you can buy. The game is designed to be this way, as there isn't enough in-game time to complete every quest. The story is also much more integrated into the gameplay. Every time you die, you get debuffs that lower your stats. Every time you find a way to break the economy, the game takes that away from you. This is the only survival game I've played where I had to sell my clothes to stop myself from starving to death. I almost quit at the beginning because of how frustrating it feels constantly "losing" the game. I would mainly recommend this to people who like hardcore survival. There are easier modes, but I don't know how much they change the game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fascinating game
Absolutely wonderful, I can't believe it took me so long to play this. It's an overall improvement on the first game, which was already excellent in its own right. It delves deeper into the lore, tying up a couple of loose ends in the plot. It's mechanics are also a lot more complicated, making the game even harder, but it's worth it!
Some games are worth buying only at full price. What a game. (Though you should play it only if you hate yourself hard enough)
Pathologic has become one of my favorite series. Patho 2 resembles a lot of the survival mechanics of patho HD but also introduces new ones that makes you feel like the True Artemy. I loved how they developed the story and changed it a bit from the original. But on my opinion its better to play HD first, some details of the story lose the shock because they are given to you from the start while on HD you only get to know them till the last days. Still i Loved every moment and how the games makes you feel constantly stressed because of all the things you have to keep an eye of
