Path Out is a real-life experience of Abdullah, a Syrian refugee, escaping into Turkey. It's told through an rp-graphics-style that was made on RPG Maker. Got him over the border in 35 minutes using the keyboard (game controller can also be used). It isn't about difficulty so much as playing to understand what the guy went through. - If it wasn't clear, this is a story of a guy fleeing his home and everyone he knows as a kid to keep himself out of war IRL told through an rpg maker medium. There's no fighting, no weapons or what-have-you. This is not an rpg. You're playing this to understand, not to entertain. - Every few minutes a video will pop up in the corner from the guy the game's about, telling you what his experience was more in depth. This makes the game and the whole thing wouldn't be nearly as impactful if he wasn't there to flesh things out. So definitely recommend you stop and listen when he shows up. - Esc pulls up a menu where you can save and the like. Couldn't find any buttons to make him run. In the options there is a tab to make him run all the time, but from what I can tell it either doesn't work or doesn't speed him up enough to feel like he's faster. - This is only chapter 1 of his life, and there are hints that the story may continue in the future. - It's free Path Out is the sort of game you play to give insight on the tale of a refugee experiencing the gov't ruining his life and an IRL civil war in 2014. The pacing is slow but it's also short and the feelings are there. Worth playing at least once. It's a clever way to tell a tale and gives insight.

Damn man... My heart broke in silence over and over again... You really know how to make an impact with those lines!
Path Out, 2014'teki iç savaştan kaçan genç Suriyeli Abdullah Karam'ın gerçek yolculuğunu konu alan otobiyografik bir anlatım oyunudur. Abdullah'ın kendisi, Youtube tarzı videolar aracılığıyla oyunu yorumluyor ve Suriye'nin savaşla parçalanmış kırsalında ve günlük yaşamında yaptığı dramatik seyahatler hakkında fikir veriyor. .
It's fine autobiography/documentary about how civilian affected by war in Syria. Combining video game with occasional commentary is creative way to tell a story. While there are few quality concern of this game, my only complaint is lack of subtitle/closed caption during commentary.
Basing a game on a true story does not grant it immunity from criticism. I am sure that the high rating is simply because this is a true story. I am confused. This game is like an interactive reaction video. It's supposed to be based on a true story and yet every now and then Abdullah tells you about inaccuracy in the game. Evidently, he did not make the game. If he did make the game, then he wouldn't add inaccuracies and stereotypes. Who put this game on Steam? Did someone make some game based on his story, then Abdullah reacted to it and someone attached his commentary to the actual game? Then Abdullah makes a video for this game's store page. Regardless, with Abdullah breaking the immersion, it's not a great experience.
Short game can be done in 30 minutes,. i can see the potential i hope you can finish it soon.
As a Syrian, this really touched a nerve that hurt very badly, It's really saddening to see this happen to my own people and my parents still living there. I can't even go there in the fear of being detained. I left Syria right before the war started back in 2011. I really really really REALLY wish there is more to the game. I wanted more chapters. I felt connected to Abdullah and I want to know more about his story. please develop more chapters. This story needs to be told.
A very unique game that makes you realize how easy it is for someones entire life to change because of the war.
