Path of the Sramana

‘Path of the Sramana’ is a short fantasy platformer game, following a young shaman journeying through the spirit realm, as she searches for her father’s soul. When her father’s soul does not return to his body after his last shamanic journey, Dávdna ventures into the spirit realm to find him. As she makes her way through the mystical landscape, she meets various spirits who help and guide her. Eventually, she stumbles upon a strange sickness, known as the Corruption, spreading through the realm. This Corruption and the path towards her father’s soul appear to be intertwined. As she travels deeper, the truth reveals itself. This game was created by a team of 10 students as a collaboration between the Animation Workshop, VIA University College, and Sonic College, over a period of nine months. @ "Путь Сраманы" - это короткая фэнтезийная платформерная игра, в которой молодой шаман путешествует по царству духов, пока она ищет душу своего отца. This appears to be a student project. Your standard platformer. Unlock movement abilities, progress, try not to get killed by the sharp things. + Art, music, and sound design is great. These students probably have a bright future ahead of them if they keep this up. + Setting is really interesting. - Voice work is amateur but passable. It just sounds a bit stiff, not bad or anything. - Unfortunately, the most important element, the gameplay, could use a lot of improvement. The controls are floaty and you're likely to get stuck on a corner or some other piece of geometry while platforming. Wall jumping is also wonky. I stopped playing when I got crushed by a pillar near the beginning and my character didn't properly respawn, so I never finished this game. Overall a pretty good effort that shines in all but gameplay, the hardest part. If you're willing to fight the controls and platforming, there's probably a nice story here. I look forward to this group's future efforts.

This game was pretty fun! you unlock mechanics by talking to some really cool looking ancients the visuals overall in the game are pretty dope. There's a little bit of a lack of direction at some points but if you stay persistent you can find your way to the end of this short platformer. The voice acting is really well done and pretty immersive along with the sound being nice and calming. The only complaint I have is sometimes the mechanics can be a little bit rough if your on a not flat surface and it's kinda hard to tell what your jumping into sometimes but besides that it was a very enjoyable experience. there are bugs but who cares...at's at the point where leaving a bad review for a free game as amazing as this is slightly offensive to me and I didn't even design it...the colors are amazing, the animation is great...the story board is unique , the dialogue is awesome, I mean honestly...yea there are bugs like I mentioned such as getting trapped on edges and corners...but this game is truly great and you will enjoy it...great game, good job to the devs.

nice art but terrible gameplay

This game sure seemed interesting at first. I enjoyed the storyline and the music. I love the graphics as well. Though it seems every time I play the game stops working. The controls are not clear at the beginning. You hit "esc" and you see what the keys are which is ridiculous. I feel this game was released out to early. [h1]Ended way too soon.[/h1] The first cut scene fooled me with its breathtaking artwork and narration. Instead, the gameplay was uncomfortable thanks to the buggy controls and there was no challenge to speak of. This would have been forgivable if the story and artwork had been memorable, and don't get me wrong, it [i]was[/i]—initially. Then the novelty faded, and then the game ended, just like that. I can't in good conscience [i]not[/i] recommend this, however, because there are glimmers of what could have been a great game. People other than myself might enjoy it, but you should go into this with open eyes.
