I game solo or against AI and enjoy aiming to collect achievements. Patchwork only lets you collect achievements if you play against an online (human) opponent.
Truth be told I'm awful at this game. I only play against the AI on Easy Peasy mode and I usually lose. But my quilt always looks nicer than the AI's at the end and I still enjoy myself immensely so maybe I'm actually great at this game.
Humble Bundle.
This phone game port is buggy to the point of game-breaking in local play. You'd think drag and drop would be easy enough, but apparently not. You can't even back out to look at the pieces when you get a patch bonus. If you actually like Patchwork, do not buy this game. Not even on deep sale--don't feed shovelware trolls.

Listen.... it's patchwork. The online doesn't work anymore but you can play local multiplayer, or you can play against the computer. Which is what I do. There's this one bot named Uwe... and well we have a bit of a rivalry. She's allegedly the "medium" difficulty, but that B dogwalks me 80% of the time. Every time I beat her is like a triumph and I feel an emotion I only ever felt before as a kid playing on a soccer team that lost almost all of our games, but that one day we finally won one.
Do not put crazy unobtainable PvP ranking achievements in your silly boardgame. Christ.
This game was horrible. First of all there are all of these rules that one has to agree to - EU and all that. They actually say you have to SIGN an agreement to play this game. I never saw where I had to sign but it does say that it connects to their game server for you to play the game. Ridiculous for those of us outside of the EU. Also, one apparently cannot play without connecting to the server. Secondly, it seems to mostly be an online PvP game. There are options to play locally or offline but it's obvious that this game was meant to be an online PvP game. Thirdly, it is very confusing. After playing for about a half an hour and then watching a friend play it, we never understood it completely. It's very confusing to know which piece to choose, why one can't choose other pieces, why one has to pass, etc. Trying to figure out how to flip and turn the pieces wasn't fun, either. Finally, I had to just quit the game because after passing my turn, the game got stuck on itself. I couldn't click away. I couldn't click anywhere. I literally had to kill the game to quit. An abysmal ending. It's a shame. The concept interested me. The graphics looked cozy. Looks are obviously deceiving. :-(
