After 7 hours play i got in a cave with monkeys. Most frustrating how to get out. Not my kind of gameplay.
j'ai rien compris! mais c'était cool !
I need more red clown, but NO UFOs of fight, fewer enemies, need music accompaniments. Need dificult leveling. I wont more dialogs with red clown, more his appearances, and necessary russian languagues. The game needs some improvements to mouse clicks. keep improving and developing the game, don't give up, add more storyline.

Parallel, developed and published by Rodrigo Banzato, stands as a clear example of an indie project driven by vision rather than convention. From the outset, the game places players in a strange, unfamiliar world that feels disconnected from ordinary logic, emphasizing mystery over explanation. Rather than guiding the player through a structured introduction, it allows curiosity to take the lead, encouraging exploration and interpretation. This approach immediately sets the tone for an experience that is less about traditional progression and more about discovery, atmosphere, and personal engagement with the world. One of the defining features of Parallel is its strong emphasis on choice and consequence. The game attempts to simulate a chain reaction effect, where even seemingly small decisions can lead to meaningful shifts in the narrative and environment. This gives the experience a sense of unpredictability that keeps players invested, as outcomes are not always obvious or immediate. It also adds replay value, since different decisions can open up new scenarios, interactions, or endings. While not every branching path feels equally developed, the intent to create a responsive world is evident and often effective in maintaining player curiosity. The environments themselves play a major role in shaping the overall experience. Parallel presents a range of settings that fluctuate between calm, almost meditative spaces and more unsettling, oppressive areas that create tension and unease. These transitions are not always smooth, but they contribute to the idea that the world is unstable or layered in ways that defy logic. Visually, the game may not compete with high-budget productions, but it compensates with creativity and a willingness to experiment. Many locations feel intentionally surreal, reinforcing the game’s central theme of navigating a fractured reality. Narrative delivery in Parallel leans heavily toward abstraction. Instead of offering a clear storyline with defined goals, the game provides fragments of information through encounters, environments, and subtle cues. This creates a sense of mystery that can be compelling for players who enjoy piecing together meaning on their own. However, it also means that the story can feel vague or incomplete at times. Characters often serve more as symbolic figures than fully developed personalities, and the lack of explicit direction can lead to moments of confusion. Whether this is seen as a strength or a weakness largely depends on the player’s tolerance for ambiguity. Gameplay mechanics are a mix of exploration, light puzzle-solving, and occasional combat. Exploration is the strongest element, as it ties directly into the game’s themes and encourages players to engage with the world at their own pace. Puzzles vary in quality, with some offering satisfying challenges while others feel less intuitive. Combat, when it appears, is functional but not particularly deep, and it rarely becomes the focus of the experience. There are also noticeable technical limitations, including occasional bugs and design inconsistencies, which can interrupt immersion but are somewhat expected given the scope of a solo-developed project. What ultimately defines Parallel is its ambition. It is clear that Rodrigo Banzato set out to create something personal and unconventional, prioritizing atmosphere and player agency over polish. While the execution does not always match the scale of its ideas, the game’s willingness to take risks gives it a distinct identity. It is not a game designed to appeal to everyone, but rather one that caters to players who appreciate experimental design and are willing to embrace uncertainty. In the end, Parallel offers a unique, if uneven, experience that stands out in the indie space for its creativity and intent. It may struggle with pacing, clarity, and technical refinement, but it succeeds in delivering a memorable journey for those open to its style. The game’s strengths lie in its atmosphere and its commitment to player-driven storytelling, even if its systems do not always fully support those ambitions. Rating: 7/10
