Buggy mess. Their only achivement its not being developed by EA. The FPS drops constantly, even on high-end computers. Fun fact: the cows are low-res polygons with no soul. The city looks empty and soulless like the developers after droping this crap.
I cannot recommend this game due to poor optimization and FPS/crashing issues. However, with time, this will be the go-to game rather than Sims.
this game isnt ready to play yet
This isn't a no, it's just a "not yet."
In its current state, I feel I cannot recommend it. And keep in mind, despite everything that follows, I do like this game. The game looks nice, it reminds me of Life is Strange in its art style, The Para-maker is what you would expect from a Life-Sim and the building system is pretty good too. But when the Live Mode gameplay begins once you get settled in, the game seems to lack a Soul. At first the Newspaper has images, and a bit of a presentation flair to it, but then it then starts being pretty lifeless as it goes into solely being text after its initial introduction. And the Town events that said newspaper advertises, are often empty or lack people going to them. The Story Teller is a pretty neat concept, if it actually did anything of real consequence, not just showering with buffs and the occasional minor inconvenience. The Character Pathing in the game has shown several bugs, and within the 90+ hours I had witnessed, Para' walking through buildings, terrain, furniture, floors, stairs and walls. Plates for food will flat out vanish or get stuck to the table and would require build/buy mode to delete them. In terms of Autonomy, Most of the Para's will get stuck in a single action, like sitting, and would need it manually canceled for the Para to go do something else. The Neighborhood, looks nice and has unique feel, but the town obviously has a pretty high crime problem, given every single vending machine, trash can, and news paper stand have all been destroyed or broken into and then destroyed once again within 24 hours of having a Para go around town fixing them. The Paras themselves have shown zero interest to engage in conversation with each other without player input in fact most if not all of them will just stand around, probably play on their phone or cling to the nearest musical instrument as a life line. The card conversation system is a curious addition that really limits how Para's can interact with each other leading to frequent repeats of prompts. The Building, is fun, it was a blast to learn how it worked and experiment with it. The clutter aspect I enjoy most of all because I enjoy making lived-in spaces. The amount of items to pick and choose from, and even library of inclusive items for those with disabilities. But some objects that are not clutter seem, useless due to them not having any interaction to them. A Wheelchair that cannot even be sat in, just takes up space in the house.. Almost every kitchen appliance aside from the Dishwasher, Stove and Fridge do nothing but sit there and look nice which I hope will change in the near future. The Game also struggles to keep running as it crashes frequently to an alarming degree. I really tried hard to work with this game, there is potential here. This is a good foundation to work and build off of. But I would not recommend this game until it is fully done or is more established.
Обычно подобные игры покупают те, кому надоел симс. Вы, конечно, можете потратить деньги, чтобы за время игры понять, что симс вам, все-таки, не особо то и надоел.
The Sims is officially DEAD to me. I have always hated EA and their business model, and Paralives completely blows them out of the water. The building tools take some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's incredible what you can create. Paras have no trouble getting around, even with DIY thresholds. Over the last 58 hours of gameplay, I created a build that I could only dream of in The Sims. Something that would have looked way more cobbled together and required clunky playtesting over there. In Paralives, I can create without the struggle. It is far easier to create a shell first and tweak it later in the build. I did run into some trouble with grass showing up in rooms and floors/ceilings not wanting to properly separate into walled compartments. However, I resolved all of them, and honestly, none of it was more frustrating than the problems I constantly encounter in The Sims. It was likely user error, but a few quick tips for fellow builders: Watch your deletions: Be careful deleting any floors or ceilings, or you may regret it. Check your connections: Make sure your walls actually connect to each other. I noticed some of mine were acting like open room dividers rather than connected, solid barriers. All my issues resolved once I fixed that! Embrace the tools: The invisible wall tool is your best friend. USE IT! Outside of Build Mode, the live gameplay is fun but currently lacks a little challenge. Starting funds allowed me to create a beautiful, luxury-sized ready to move in house, with all the built-ins right from the jump, but don't expect to furnish it outside of the basics unless you build smaller to start. That said, money is easy to come by. I made 5 to 10 grand daily just running around the map collecting buried treasure, mushrooms, and discarded furniture. Overall, it's a fantastic game. My family has purchased it twice now because Steam Family Sharing wasn't enough for me, and I want to support this studio in rivaling EA. I can't wait to see the future of this game. Highly recommend, especially if you are a builder! But there is still plenty of meat on this game's bones to satisfy character-focused players too.
For the asking price i its current sate I cannot recommend this game in good faith. There is remarkable potential with this title and the scope of what it could be but right now it feels more like a tech demo. I understand its early access but the asking price doesn't justify it IMO. Genuinely rooting for this title and hope to revise my review when it improves.
There's nothing to do really, definitely not worth 40 bucks. Played everything you could in like a day or 2. Building isn't user friendly and is still very glitchy. The houses are surrounded by buildings or trees that get in the way of gameplay. Even once the game is fully released I don't think it has any real potential. I will change my review if the game improves as it develops.
Game is so boring even the mods suck ass
