How is this game so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard? (I have done Abs Rad radiant btw)
I played only a few minutes after the first boss, which I was not impressed by. Combat encounters become tedious, with the same gotcha feel or only able to address it with one solution. Inputs mainly between firing the gun and rolling require a slight pause in order to trigger properly. So in my case I guess I was too quick with releasing the fire button and then rolling it would not register the roll and therefore not roll. At least by the trailer the other boss fights look visually interesting, but the game fails too much in the basics for me to slog through the rest to get there.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 148.25/day in the week to Jul 16 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I don't even know where to start with this one. For clarification, I got this for free a while back and picked it up to play through it. This game, to put it mildly, is ROUGH. And not Dark Souls rough, I mean rough in the sense that its gameplay is a slog and some design decisions really leave me scratching my head. This is essentially a shooter Metroidvania. That sounds cool, but for some reason the game manages to make shooting feel like chore. You traverse rooms with enemies, backtrack, get upgrades, the usual. But enemies usually surprise you with no chance to react, and others requires you to get to cover, which I had to figure out via online videos. This leads to two things: 1. Controls are not explained at all, and on top of that are horribly schemed. Who the HELL uses SZXC for movement? And then there's me using my QWERTZ keyboard - hello, we exist, too?! 2. Getting to cover is interesting, but gets old fast, with you just exchganging shots with the same robot enemy over and over in level. And here is the cherry on top: You get hit once, you die. BUT: The section of the level you are in resets, with all enemies. Same goes if you re-enter that section. That coupled with finicky controls, a horrible jump and unfair enemies, and you can imagine how much of a slog gameplay is. There are also a lot of other things: Your own bombs kill you, which is fine, but why the hell can they kill me AFTER detonation? Simply colliding with the cloud of the already blown bomb can kill you. WHY?! Why do I have the jump strength of a toddler? Why are enemies placed in way I could only barely jump over them, with my (apparently) tiny toddler legs? That isn't to say this game does not have good parts: Progression is solid, the map is pretty unique, there a decent variety of enemies that require differing tactics, and the graphics of the game does have a neat charm and good visual language. But that is about as much positive things I can say about the game. If you want a hard, unfair Metroidvania, this is up your alley. I would not pay full price, wait for a big sale on this one. 3/10
It feels like an experimental or early access game. The game is hard, but partly because there's almost no tutorial (I don't know if it's intentional) and the controls feel rough/stiff. Some default buttons are weird, such as arrows to move around, X to jump, and Space to use a bomb, but without the option to change them. If you already own this game and like side-scrolling shooter/metroidvania games, give it a try. Otherwise, skip it.
